MLB PrizePicks Player Predictions: Sunday (8/6)
The early August rust was real, as a 1-2 Saturday has left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth this morning. While we nailed the Syndergaard prop over, Tim Anderson managed to collect a double prior to getting knocked out by Jose Ramirez in the Guardians/White Sox affair yesterday. Miguel Rojas of the Dodgers also went 0-for-3 on Saturday, but did not strike out in the contest. The Dodgers struck out 10 times as a whole, yet only Rojas and Will Smith were the only ones not to go down swinging. Close misses are the worst kind of misses. Let's hope the luck can bounce back in our favor on Sunday.
Overall record: 29-28-3
Sunday’s Best PrizePicks Player Predictions
Sandy Alcantara Under 18.5 Pitching Outs
Sandy Alcantara is in the midst of quite a different season from just one year ago when he took down the NL Cy Young award. This season, he is just 4-9 with a 4.21 ERA through 22 starts. He started off extremely slow, holding a 4.82 ERA prior to the month of July. He has certainly been better over the past 30 days, which includes his previous two outings in which he threw a complete game against the Rays and lasted eight innings against the Phillies, respectively.
