MLB Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks for Wednesday, June 22 (2022)

As I always say, we’re looking to win one same-game parlay daily. If we hit one out of three bets daily, at +400 odds or greater, we will be in great shape.

Last night, the Braves bats came through to hit a +421 parlay.

Let’s look to cash another one with today’s slate. Here are my three same-game parlays for the MLB slate on June 22.

Chicago Cubs vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

  • Leg 1: Ian Happ 1+ Hit (-185)
  • Leg 2: Bryan Reynolds 2+ Hits (-240)
  • Leg 3: Jack Suwinski to Hit a Home Run (+390)

I’m going back to this Pirates/Cubs game. I’m expecting runs with Keegan Thompson and Jarad Eickhoff on the mound for tonight’s game.

Eickhoff had close to an 8 xFIP last season and will be making his first start of the season this year for the Pirates. Happ, a switch-hitter, has a .238 ISO and wOBA of .402 against righties in the last 30 days. He’s got a lot of potential against Eickhoff.

Meanwhile, Bryan Reynolds has a .308 ISO and wOBA of .401 against righties in the last 30 days, while Jack Suwinski has a .478 ISO with a wOBA of .484.

Suwinski has some sneaky power. We’re going for the home-run play, but if you want to tone it down a bit, just like Suwinski to get two total bases.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Minnesota Twins

  • Leg 1: Byron Buxton 2+ Total Bases (-130)
  • Leg 2: Carlos Correa 2+ Total Bases (+105)
  • Leg 3: Sonny Gray Over 4.5 K’s (-142)

Triston McKenzie will take the hill for the Guardians tonight. He has a 5.46 xFIP in the last 30 days and just 20.6% of strikeouts in that same time frame.

He’s allowing 55.2% of fly balls and giving up nearly 37% of hard contact in the last 30 days. Lefties have a .302 ISO against McKenzie, while righties have a .200 ISO against McKenzie.

The Twins have a lot of power in their lineup and should be able to hit for power against McKenzie. Byron Buxton has a .317 ISO and wOBA of .383 in the last 30 days against righties, while Carlos Correa has a .228 ISO with a wOBA of .405 in the previous 30 days against righties.

Lastly, Sonny Gray has earned 27.7% of strikeouts in the last 30 days. The Guardians don’t strike out very often, but he’ll get to go up against Franmil Reyes and Andres Gimenez, who both strike out 25% or more in the last 30 days. Gray rarely falls behind, which will only help him get those strikeouts.

Seattle Mariners vs. Oakland Athletics

  • Leg 1: George Kirby Over 4.5 K’s (-118)
  • Leg 2: Taylor Trammell 2+ Total Bases (+260)
  • Leg 3: J.P. Crawford 1+ Hit (-280)

The Athletics will pitch Paul Blackburn, who has had a 5.38 xFIP in the last 30 days. He’s also not blowing many batters away with just 13.7% of strikeouts in that same time frame.

Lefties are taking advantage of Blackburn a little bit more, as he’s allowing a .363 wOBA in his last 52 plate appearances against lefties.

That’s why we’ll bet on Taylor Trammell to do some damage tonight. He has a .245 ISO with a wOBA of .348 in his last 57 plate appearances against righties. He’s also hitting 30.3% of line drives and 30.3% of ground balls in that same time frame.

J.P. Crawford is another lefty that has a .360 wOBA with just 6.2% of strikeouts. He’ll have plenty of opportunities to get one hit.

Lastly, George Kirby has earned 25.6% of strikeouts in the last 30 days. He’s taking on an Athletics lineup with four batters striking out 26.4% of the time or more in the last 30 days.
