Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Colorado Rockies

The Colorado Rockies will start Antonio Senzatela for the first time this season. He worked his way back from a torn ACL in 2022 and then needed Tommy John surgery after two starts in 2023.

That said, in the two starts he had before the Tommy John surgery, he allowed a .500 ISO and wOBA of .529 to 15 lefties. Those lefties added 62.6% of hard contact and more than 27% of line drives while striking out just 20% of the time.

Meanwhile, Arizona has torn up righties over the last 30 days. Some of the hottest left-handed bats are on the Diamondbacks, including Corbin Carroll, Joc Pederson, and Pavin Smith.

Carroll has added a .267 ISO and wOBA of .356 against his last 71 righties. Behind him, Pederson has recorded a .227 ISO and wOBA of .380.

Finally, Smith has hit a .394 ISO and wOBA of .451 against his last 42 righties.

These three should take advantage of a rusty Senzatela tonight.

Chicago White Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels

The Los Angeles Angels will throw Reid Detmers tonight. He’s a lefty who has added 38.3% of strikeouts against his last 47 batters. That rate figures to continue against the White Sox, who have struck out 25.8% of the time collectively as a projected lineup over the last 30 days against lefties.

Detmers will have six targets in the Chicago lineup who have struck out at least 25% of the time against lefties in the last 30 days.

On the other hand, Jonathan Cannon will start for the White Sox. He’s a righty who has allowed a .229 ISO and wOBA of .317 to his last 39 righties. These righties have limited ground balls to 32%, with 24% of line drives hit. He’ll take on Taylor Ward and Jordyn Adams, who are the hottest right-handed bats in the Los Angeles lineup.

Ward has smoked a .329 ISO and wOBA of .428 against his last 87 righties, while Adams has hit a .250 ISO and wOBA of .397 against his last 12 righties.

Adams will likely bat ninth. Therefore, stick with his hits prop (.5 hits) instead of his total bases prop (1.5 total bases). Still, Adams has extra-base potential. He’s added 37.5% of fly balls and 37.5% of line drives, with only 25% of ground balls. He’s also used a 12.5% barrel percentage and has a BABIP of .429 against righties since being called up.
