MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Monday (6/5)

It might be a smaller slate in the MLB today, but at least we’ve got games on throughout the day, starting at 4:00 pm ET.

That’ll keep us busy!

I’ve added multiple same-game parlays that I’ll be firing on tonight!

Houston Astros vs. Toronto Blue Jays

It’s been a disastrous start to the season for Alek Manoah. If his name weren’t Alek Manoah, he’d probably be pitching in the minors by now.

Manoah has a 7.90 xFIP over the last 30 days. He’s walked 19.6% of batters and struck out just 16.7%. He’ll face a projected Astros lineup that has only struck out 21.1% of the time against righties. They’ve got five batters striking out lower than 20% of the time against righties in the lineup. It will be hard for Manoah to stay in the game for a long time, and the strikeouts will be just as difficult to come by.

Yordan Alvarez is hitting a .333 ISO and wOBA of .443 against his last 72 righties faced. He’s hit over 24% of line drives and has struck out only 16.7% of the time. He’s a major threat against terrible righties.

Manoah has allowed a .409 wOBA and ISO of .242 to his last 40 righties faced.

Finally, Jake Meyers, another righty, has hit a .268 ISO and wOBA of .373 against his last 63 righties faced. Meyers has hit a .343 BABIP and has a 26.3% line drive rate in the previous month against righties.

Look for those two Astros to be the center of attention against Manoah tonight.

Parlay Odds: +602

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Cincinnati Reds

Julio Teheran will make another start for the Brewers. So far, he’s holding a 5.72 xFIP with only 11.9% of strikeouts. He’s earned only 30.6% of ground balls and has allowed 50% of fly balls. However, his BABIP is sitting at .222. That’s likely not going to last.

Meanwhile, the Reds have been a solid offense over the last month. The projected lineup is hitting a .328 wOBA against righties and has walked 11.1% of the time. They’ve also hit a BABIP of .314 and are hitting line drives 21.1% of the time against righties in the last month.

The top portion of the order is ruthless against righties. Jake Fraley, a lefty, is hitting a .235 ISO and woBA of .398 against his last 76 righties. He’s got a .346 BABIP and has knocked 23.2% of line drives over the previous month against right-handed pitching.

Meanwhile, May’s NL Rookie of the Year, Spencer Steer, has hit a .203 ISO and wOBA of .401 against his last 91 righties faced. He’s a right-handed batter but still hits 22.7% of line drives while striking out just 14.3% of the time.

It’s going to be a quick outing for Julio Teheran and not in a good way.

Parlay Odds: +677
