Tampa Bay Ray at Detroit Tigers
Aaron Civale is bringing a hot streak into his Tampa Bay debut, going 3-0 with a 1.45 ERA in his last six starts with the Guardians. He will lead with the cutter, and he's getting above-average vertical movement on the pitch, which has led to the bump in his fly ball and swung under percentage.
It was a long journey for Tarik Skubal to return to the MLB after being out from August last year to early July with arm fatigue. He's done well in his return, with three of five outings going scoreless. After going four innings in his first three starts, he pitched Ito the fifth in his last two starts.

Washington Nationals at Cincinnati Reds
Josh Adon will be making his first start of the season after being recently called up. He started 2022 in the Nationals' rotation but did not fare well, going 1-12 with a 7.10 ERA in 14 starts before being sent down to the Minors, where he has been since his July 17th call-up.
Andrew Abbott has been a great addition to the Reds rotation and part of this young core that's pushing the team to a playoff contender. Dominantly a fastball pitcher, he uses it to get ahead in the count and then goes with the change-up as his strikeout pitch. He's coming in with a quality start in three of his last four outings.
Parlay Odds: +669
Houston Astros at New York Yankees
A familiar face has returned to Houston as Justin Verlander is back after only half a season with the Mets. He may not have needed to pack because he's pitching in New York against the Yankees. He's already seen them twice this season and has allowed one earned in 12 innings.
Nestor Cortez will make his first start since May after going on the IL with a strain to his left rotator cuff. That could have been the reason for his struggles, as he couldn't replicate his breakout 2022 season. The fastball and cutter were notably ineffective, and he went from a hard-hit percentage in the 30s last year with them to the 40s this season.
