MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions (9/1)

On Tuesday, we hit a +782 same-game parlay in the Padres and Giants game.

But if you thought that was impressive, check this out. Last night, we won two more same-game parlays. We hit a +476 parlay with the Minnesota Twins and added a +614 win with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Casually in two days, we’ve won same-game parlays with odds of +782, +476, and +614.  No matter what happens with today’s picks, I’ll be sleeping well regardless! But I’m hot. I’d love to stay hot. Let’s win another one.

Seattle Mariners vs. Detroit Tigers

• Leg 1: Logan Gilbert Over 4.5 K’s (-146)
• Leg 2: Eugenio Suarez 2+ Total Bases (+165)
• Leg 3: Julio Rodriguez 1+ Hit (-300)

I know there’s a ton of college football tonight. So if you’re looking to get in on some early baseball game, you can try this bet.

Logan Gilbert will take the mound for the Mariners today. He has a 4.59 xFIP. However, he’s struck out 21.3% of batters this season. The Tigers, on the other hand, have struck out 27% of the time using their projected lineup against righties in the last month.

Gilbert figures to go deep against a Tigers team that is hitting a .096 ISO and wOBA of .290. One strikeout per inning is pretty reasonable.

Meanwhile, Eduardo Rodriguez will pitch for the Tigers. The lefty has a 5.82 xFIP since returning to the mound. He’s also struck out 15.2% of batters while walking 13% of batters in that time frame.

The Mariners haven’t been the most electric offense against lefties. Eugenio Suarez has been the hot hitter, hitting a .345 ISO with a wOBA of .359 against lefties. Julio Rodriguez has also hit 35.7% of line drives when balls are batted into play against lefties. If the Mariners are going to score runs, it’ll be those two batters creating the magic.

Colorado Rockies vs. Atlanta Braves

• Leg 1: Spencer Strider Over 7.5 K’s (+110)
• Leg 2: Ronald Acuna 2+ Total Bases (-105)
• Leg 3: Michael Harris 1+ Hit (-230)

The National League Rookie of the Year race is fascinating. Spencer Strider and Michael Harris are the leading candidates to win the award. It’s a pretty unique situation to be in for the Braves.

Anyway, Strider has struck out 35.5% of batters in the last 30 days and will face a Rockies lineup with four batters striking out at least 20.3% of the time against righties. Colorado also has a bunch of prospects at the bottom of the order who can strike out.

Meanwhile, Chad Kuhl will get the start for the Rockies. He has a 6.37 xFIP and has been hit extremely hard by both sides of the plate since returning from the injured list. Ronald Acuna’s wOBA against righties is starting to climb. The righty has a .388 wOBA against righties in the last 30 days.

Michael Harris has also been consistent against righties, hitting a .250 ISO with a wOBA of .402. Both of these hitters have a BABIP over .400.

In the last 30 days, both batters have earned a hit over 40% of the time when the ball is batted into play against righties.

Parlay Odds: +478 via FanDuel

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

• Leg 1: Brandon Woodruff Over 6.5 K’s (+112)
• Leg 2: Merill Kelly Over 4.5 K’s (-158)
• Leg 3: Rowdy Tellez 2+ Total Bases (+105)

The Arizona Diamondbacks are going to be extremely exciting in the future. They could finish the season at around .500. That wasn’t the goal at the start of the season, but it would do now.

Anyway, Merill Kelly has earned 24% of strikeouts in the last 30 days. He’ll take on a Brewers lineup that has struck out nearly 20% of the time against righties. Five batters in the Milwaukee lineup have struck out at least 24.3% of the time. Kelly should be able to earn five strikeouts.

Kelly’s only blemish is his ISO to lefties. He’s allowed a .188 ISO to lefties through his last 58 plate appearances. The lefty I’d feel most comfortable with against righties is Rowdy Tellez, who has a .316 ISO against lefties with a wOBA of .389.

Lastly, Brandon Woodruff has struck out 25.8% of batters in the last 30 days. He’ll take on an Arizona lineup with three batters striking out at least 22% of the time. Arizona isn’t a heavy strikeout team, but Woodruff will still earn his strikeouts. Seven is low for a guy like Woodruff.
