Chicago White Sox vs. Cleveland Guardians

  • Leg 1: Jose Abreu 1+ Hit (-270)
  • Leg 2: Gavin Sheets 2+ Total Bases (+105)
  • Leg 3: Eloy Jimenez 2+ Total Bases (-110)

The Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Guardians will play a makeup game at 1 pm ET today. This is a big game for the AL Central. The Guardians lead the White Sox by four games in the division, but a win today would put the White Sox just three games out.

Hunter Gaddis will take the mound for Cleveland. He’s a rookie right-hander who has faced 19 batters this season. Against those 19 batters, he’s allowed a .542 wOBA to 17 right-handed hitters. He rarely induced ground balls and struck out 10.5 percent of batters while also walking 10.5 percent.

The White Sox are coming off a dud performance against Colorado. The lineup will be awake for this divisional showdown.

Jose Abreu is hitting a .369 wOBA against righties in the last 30 days. He’s also hitting 25.4 percent of line drives against righties in that same time frame.

Meanwhile, Eloy Jimenez and Gavin Sheets have been the power sources for Chicago against righties. Jimenez has a .254 ISO with a wOBA of .442 in his last 71 plate appearances against righties. On the other hand,  Gavin Sheets, a lefty, has a .210 ISO with a wOBA of .353 against righties in his previous 69 plate appearances.

Back the White Sox to have success in the middle of their order.

Kansas City Royals vs. Minnesota Twins

  • Leg 1: Carlos Correa 2+ Total Bases (-115)
  • Leg 2: Jose Miranda 2+ Total Bases (-120)
  • Leg 3: Gio Urshela 2+ Total Bases (-115)

The Minnesota Twins will also want to stick around in the AL Central. They’re taking on a lefty in Daniel Lynch and figure to have a lineup that will consist of at least seven righties.

Lynch has allowed a wOBA of .396 to righties with an ISO of .214 over his last 95 plate appearances against righties. He’s also only struck out 13.9 percent of batters in the last month while allowing a 29.5 percent line drive rate when balls are batted into play.

We’re going to stack the three consistent righties in the Minnesota lineup.

Against lefties, Carlos Correa is hitting a .409 ISO with a wOBA of .434 over his last 26 plate appearances. Jose Miranda has contributed with a .375 ISO and wOBA of .405 against his last 27 lefties. Lastly, Gio Urshela is hitting a .276 ISO with a wOBA of .395 against his last 29 lefties.

Those three limit ground balls at a high rate and continue to hit line drives at an above-average rate against lefties—back Minnesota’s core to do damage against Lynch.

Cincinnati Reds vs. St. Louis Cardinals

  • Leg 1: Nolan Arenado 2+ Total Bases (+100)
  • Leg 2: Corey Dickerson 2+Total Bases  (-120)
  • Leg 3: Tyler O’Neill 2+ Total Bases  (+125)

The Cincinnati Reds will send Chase Anderson to the mound for tonight’s game. Anderson has a 5.09 xFIP over the last 30 0days and has walked 22.5 percent of batters faced in that time frame.

He’s also giving up a 50 percent hard contact rate when the ball is put into play. Against his last 22 righties, Anderson has allowed a .341 wOBA and ISO of .353. His previous 18 lefties faced are hitting a .415 wOBA and ISO of .308.

The projected Cardinals lineup is hitting a .202 ISO with a wOBA of .370 against righties over the last 30 days. Everyone practically stands out.

Left-hander Corey Dickerson has hit an ISO of .189 and a wOBA of .444 while only striking out 9.3 percent of the time in his last 75 plate appearances against righties. Meanwhile, Nolan Arenado has a .200 ISO with a wOBA of .369 against his last 82 righties. He’s also struck out just 8.5 percent of the time.

Tyler O’Neill is hitting a .273 ISO with a wOBA of .372. He’s struck out the most on this Cardinals team against righties, but Anderson’s strike-out rate decreases against right-handed batters. Therefore, I like O’Neill to hit the ball sharply in play.

Let’s back the Cardinals for this parlay.
