MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (6/18)

While there are 15 games on the MLB slate, there aren’t a ton of bad pitchers to pounce on tonight.

However, I’ve still found two spots that look good on paper for our two Same-Game Parlays for Tuesday, June 18’s MLB action.

St. Louis Cardinals @ Miami Marlins MLB Same Game Parlay

The Miami Marlins will start Roddery Munoz against the Cardinals. Munoz is a right-handed pitcher who has struggled against left-handed hitters this season. Munoz has allowed a .500 ISO and woBA of .482 to 47 lefties this season. Over the last 30 days, against his previous 22 lefties, he’s allowed a .389 ISO and wOBA of .456.

Therefore, we’ll want to target the St. Louis lefties tonight. Alec Burleson has hit a .161 ISO and wOBA of .324 from the left side over the last month against righties. He’s also struck out just 10.4% in the previous 30 days against righties. Meanwhile, Nolan Gorman has slugged a .279 ISO and wOBA of .336 against righties in the last 30 days.

On the other hand, Lance Lynn has increased his strikeout rate over the last 30 days. He’s struck out 23.4% of batters despite his seasonal average of 22%.

Lynn will face a Marlins lineup with seven batters striking out at least 20% of the time over the last 30 days against righties. Five of those seven have even struck out over 26% of the time. Therefore, we’ll add Lynn to earn at least five strikeouts in tonight’s game to close out the parlay.

Tampa Bay Rays @ Minnesota Twins MLB Same Game Parlay

Aaron Civale is a right-handed pitcher who has struggled against right-handed hitters for the Tampa Bay Rays this season. Over the last 30 days, Civale has allowed a .224 ISO and wOBA of .381 to 57 righties. He’s also struck out only 14% of righties and has allowed 26.2% of fly balls.

Meanwhile, Royce Lewis has been on a tear since returning from the Injured List (IL). He’s hit a .571 ISO and wOBA of .533 against righties in the last 30 days. Carlos Correa has also done very well, hitting a .160 ISO and wOBA of .374 against righties over the previous month.

On the other hand, Minnesota will pitch Pablo Lopez. His strikeout rate has dipped over the last 30 days, but he’s still added 26.2% of strikeouts this season.

That said, he’ll take on a Rays lineup that should have at least four batters with strikeout rates of above 30% over the last 30 days against righties. There will likely be six batters in the lineup with at least 21% strikeout rates. This is a good spot for Lopez to get his strikeout rate back up to where it used to be.
