MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (7/4)
Happy July 4th!
But don’t forget to place some bets before you head out to a BBQ or fireworks show!
I’ve got a couple of same-game parlays that I’ll be on tonight. You probably should be on them, too, especially since we hit a +550 same-game parlay yesterday in the Cardinals-Marlins game!
Tuesday’s Best MLB Same Game Parlay Bets
Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook
Colorado Rockies vs. Houston Astros
- Leg 1: Mauricio Dubon Over 1.5 Total Bases (-110)
- Leg 2: Jose Abreu Over 1.5 Total Bases (+100)
- Leg 3: Nolan Jones Over 0.5 Total Hits (-185)
Left-hander Kyle Freeland will take the hill for the Rockies tonight. The Rockies aren’t playing in Coors Field, but there’s still little hope for Freeland.
Freeland has allowed a .192 ISO and wOBA of .401 to his last 87 righties. He’s also struck out only 10.3% of righties and has allowed the same amount of fly balls as ground balls induced.
Mauricio Dubon has smacked a .250 ISO and wOBA of .366 against his last 20 lefties faced. He’s also struck out only 15% of the time. Jose Abreu, another righty, has hit a .217 ISO and wOBA of .383 against his last 25 lefties. Like Dubon, he’s struck out at a meager rate against lefties in the previous month.
On the other hand, Brandon Bielak will get the call for the Astros. In the last month, he’s allowed lefties to hit a .393 ISO and wOBA of .545. Lefties are hitting a .231 ISO and wOBA of .401 on the season. It hasn’t been a good time for Bielak against lefties.
He’ll have to face Nolan Jones, who has crushed righties as a lefty. Jones has a .275 ISO and wOBA of .485 against his last 62 righties. He’ll have a terrific matchup today and need one base hit.
Parlay Odds: +506
Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
- Leg 1: Freddie Freeman Over 1.5 Total Bases (-115)
- Leg 2: David Peralta Over 1.5 Total Bases (+130)
- Leg 3: Max Muncy Over 1.5 Total Bases (+120)
Stack the lefties tonight!
Luis Ortiz is on the mound for the Pirates. He’s allowed a .261 ISO and wOBA of .520 to his last 54 lefties faced. On the season, he’s faced 104 lefties and has given up a .233 ISO and wOBA of .472.
Ortiz has struck out only 13% of lefty batters over the last 30 days and has walked nearly 15% of batters. He’s also giving up over 53% of hard contact and almost 26% of line drive contact.
Ortiz has also earned just 6.9% of swinging strikes and rarely gets any whiffs out of the zone. He’s also giving up a BABIP of .472 against lefties in the last month. That number might start to dwindle. But that number is so high because of his hard contact and line drive rates.
Freddie Freeman has hit a .334 wOBA in the last month against righties. He’s hitting 33.3% of line drives and fly balls and has smacked 43.1% of hard contact in the previous 30 days against righties.
Max Muncy isn’t seeing high ISO numbers against righties right now. However, he’s coming off a home run yesterday. He’s also hit 42.1% of fly balls and line drives and 52.6% of hard contact against righties in the last 30 days.
Finally, David Peralta has smacked 66.7% of hard contact and a .190 ISO with a wOBA of .442 in the last 30 days against righties.
I’ll back these three lefties against Ortiz tonight.
Parlay Odds: +859
