Boston Red Sox vs. Texas Rangers
- Leg 1: Rafael Devers Over 1.5 Total Bases (-130)
- Leg 2: Wilyer Abreu Over 1.5 Total Bases (+115)
- Leg 3: Dominic Smith Over 1.5 Total Bases (+140)
The Boston Red Sox will face right-hander Jose Urena for tonight’s contest. Urena is a right-handed pitcher who has allowed a .444 ISO and wOBA of .478 to his last 32 lefties.
He’s issued 35% of fly balls and line drives and has only induced 30% of ground balls to lefties over the last month. He’s also struck out below 22% of lefties over the last month and has allowed 55% of hard contact. In addition, Urena hasn’t even earned more than 8% swinging strikes.
Meanwhile, he’ll face a core of lefties that destroy right-handed pitchers. Rafael Devers has added a .311 ISO and wOBA of .444 over the last month. He’s struck out only 18.4% of the time against righties in the previous 30 days.
Wilyer Abreu is another lefty who has destroyed righties. He’s smacked a .304 ISO and wOBA of .423 over the last 30 days. Finally, behind him is Dominic Smith. Smith has earned a .306 ISO and wOBA of .387 against his last 54 righties.
Attack Urena with the lefties in Boston’s lineup.

New York Yankees vs. Chicago White Sox
- Leg 1: Aaron Judge Over 1.5 Total Bases (-130)
- Leg 2: Giancarlo Stanton Over 1.5 Total Bases (-110)
- Leg 3: Anthony Volpe Over 1.5 Total Bases (+125)
After yesterday’s embarrassing loss to the White Sox, I’d expect the Yankees to get back on track tonight.
They’re facing Jonathan Cannon, who is a right-handed pitcher struggling against righties over the last 30 days. Cannon has allowed a .225 ISO and wOBA of .463 top his last 47 righties. He’s also struck out just 10.6% of righties over that time and has allowed 42.9% of line drives with only 22.9% of ground balls to righties.
In addition, Cannon has given up 60% of line drives to righties and has earned just 8.2% of swinging strikes against them.
So we’ll stack up the righties in the New York lineup.
Aaron Judge has launched a .393 ISO and wOBA of .612 against righties over the last 30 days. Behind him, Giancarlo Stanton has earned a .381 ISO and wOBA of .378 against his last 22 righties.
Even if Anthony Volpe bats last, I still like him to produce. He’s hit a .261 ISO and wOBA of .366 against his last 70 righties. All three of these right-handed bats strike out at a low rate and have all hit an ISO above .250 against righties over the previous month.
Let’s take our chances with the Yankees’ bats tonight.
