MLB Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks for Tuesday, August 30 (2022)

With a full slate of games on the horizon, we have three MLB Same-Game Parlays for Tuesday, August 30.

As always, the goal is to win at least one of the three parlays. If we can win one parlay, we’ll earn a profit.

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Miami Marlins

  • Leg 1: Shane McClanahan Over 7.5 K’s (+124)
  • Leg 2: Jesus Luzardo Over 5.5 K’s (-104)
  • Leg 3: Under 6.5 (-122)

The Miami Marlins will send lefty Jesus Luzardo to the mound for tonight’s game. Luzardo has a 3.42 xFIP in the last 30 days while striking out 23.9% of batters. The Rays, on the other hand, have five batters striking out at least 20% of the time against lefties in the last 30 days.

Luzardo figures to go deep in this game, as he’s pitched incredibly well as of late. He’ll have plenty of chances to earn some strikeouts.

Meanwhile, Shane McClanahan has an xFIP of 3.41 in the last 30 days while striking out 22.4% of batters. He’s taking on a Marlins lineup that has a .141 ISO with a wOBA of .226. On top of that, the Marlins’ projected lineup has struck out 35.3% of the time against lefties in the last month of baseball.

Both pitchers are expected to go deep in tonight’s game. Because of that, I expect both pitchers to get over their strikeout totals.

Colorado Rockies vs. Atlanta Braves

  • Leg 1: Matt Olson 2+ Total Bases (+100)
  • Leg 2: Travis d’Arnaud 2+ Total Bases (+105)
  • Leg 3: Michael Harris 1+ Hit (-250)

The Braves lost their last series to the St. Louis Cardinals and were clearly unhappy with themselves. Tonight, Atlanta will face Jose Urena, who has a 5.89 xFIP in the last 30 days. He’s also walked more batters than he’s struck out in that same time frame.

To lefties, Urena has given up a .436 wOBA with an ISO of .192 in his last 63 plate appearances. Meanwhile, to his last 46 righties, Urena has allowed a .345 wOBA and ISO of .333. He’s been consistently awful against both sides of the plate.

Matt Olson currently has a .224 ISO against righties in his last 94 plate appearances. He’s hitting 27% of line drives and only 33.3% of ground balls when balls are batted into play.

Meanwhile, Travis d’Arnaud has been the hottest hitter on the Braves, as he’s hitting a .262 ISO and wOBA of .420 against righties in his last 47 plate appearances.

Lastly, Michael Harris has a .250 ISO and wOBA of .402 against righties, but because he’s batting at the bottom of the order, we’ll settle for just one hit from Harris.

San Diego Padres vs. San Francisco Giants

  • Leg 1: Blake Snell Over 7.5 K’s (+114)
  • Leg 2: Logan Webb Over 3.5 K’s (-150)
  • Leg 3: Manny Machado 2+ Total Bases (+125)

Blake Snell has become the ace pitcher for the Padres this season. The left-hander has a 2.76 xFIP in the last 30 days while striking out 34.5% of batters faced in that same time frame.

Snell has also been able to keep walks down and will pitch against a Giants lineup that has struck out 23.2% of the time against lefties in the last month. Seven of nine batters in the San Francisco order have struck out at least 20% of the time against lefties in the last 30 days.

On the other hand, Logan Webb will take the mound for the Giants. He’s not a major strikeout pitcher but has an xFIP of 3.88. That should keep him in the game long enough to earn four strikeouts. Wil Myers and Trent Grisham have struck out over 33% of the time against righties in the last 30 days, and there are still five batters striking out at least 19.5% of the time in the last 30 days against righties.

However, someone has to perform with the bat. It’ll be Manny Machado. He has a .414 ISO with a wOBA of .475 against righties in the last 30 days. Against righties, there’s nobody hotter in the National League.
