Kansas City Royals vs. New York Yankees
- Leg 1: Bobby Witt Jr. Over 1.5 Total Bases (-125)
- Leg 2: Vinnie Pasquantino Over 1.5 Total Bases (+130)
- Leg 3: Michael Massey Over 1.5 Total Bases (+145)
Carlos Carrasco is set to get the start for the New York Yankees tonight. The veteran righty has already allowed a .354 ISO and wOBA of .443 to his first 52 batters this season. In addition, Carrasco has struck out just 19.2% of batters and has allowed about 31% of fly balls with 28.2% of line drives. Carrasco has even given up 66.7% of hard contact to begin the year.
Meanwhile, the Royals have a handful of batters who have slugged against righties since last season. Bobby Jr. Witt has added a .266 ISO and wOBA of .419 against his last 615 righties. He’s nailed 56.4% of hard contact and a team-high barrel percentage of 14.8% dating back to last year.
Vinnie Pasquantino has also added a .192 ISO and wOBA of .332 against his last 479 righties. The left-handed slugger has struck out just 11.3% of the time against righties since last season. Conversely, Carrasco has struck out only 15.2% of lefties this season.
Finally, Michael Massey hasn’t started well against righties this year. Yet, even when you add this year’s stats to last year’s, Massey has above-average numbers. He’s earned a .170 ISO and wOBA of .313 with just 13.3% of strikeouts against righties since last season. Massey has delivered more fly balls than ground balls against righties since the start of last season.

Boston Red Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays
- Leg 1: Brandon Lowe Over 1.5 Total Bases (+130)
- Leg 2: Jonathan Aranda Over 1.5 Total Bases (+140)
- Leg 3: Shane Baz Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+122)
The Tampa Bay Rays get set to face Tanner Houck of the Boston Red Sox. Houck held 741 batters to a .089 ISO and wOBA of .278 with 55.5% of strikeouts last year. However, this season, he’s allowed a .186 ISO and wOBA of .374 to his first 67 batters. Ultimately, Houck has struggled against lefties. He’s only added 16.7% of strikeouts and has walked 13.9% of batters when facing lefties. He’s also given up a .333 ISO and wOBA of .499 with 29.2% of line drives to lefties this season.
On the other hand, lefty Brandon Lowe has slugged a .209 ISO and wOBA of .353 against righties to begin the season. Lowe has even minimized strikeouts to 17.8% against righties this year.
Additionally, Jonathan Aranda has smashed a .364 ISO and wOBA of .524 against righties. Like Lowe, he’s kept strikeouts down against righties. He’s also nailed 39.3% of fly balls with 71.4% of hard contact against righties.
Those two left-handed Rays batters have potential.
Meanwhile, Shane Baz will get the call for the Rays. He’s a right-handed pitcher who has struck out 31.4% of batters to begin the year. Baz has also held teams to a .064 ISO and wOBA of .252, with more than 45% of ground balls. The right-hander will face a Boston lineup with five batters who have struck out at least 26% of the time against righties to start the year. Baz has many targets and is pitching lights out. Take his over to close out this parlay.
