Boston Red Sox at Tampa Bay Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays will pitch Ryan Pepiot tonight. He’s a young right-hander who has struggled against righties to begin the season. Pepiot has allowed a .351 ISO and wOBA of .413 to 44 righties this season. He’s also struck out only 15.9% of righties and has walked 13.6%.

We’ll attack with some of the Red Sox righties.

Alex Bregman has already hit a .200 ISO and wOBA of .366 against righties to begin his season. Meanwhile, Trevor Story has contributed a .208 ISO and wOBA of .348 against righties to begin the year.

On the other hand, Walker Buehler is scheduled to make another start for the Red Sox. He’s given up a .250 ISO and wOBA of .334 to 34 righties as a right-handed pitcher. Conversely, he’ll battle Junior Caminero of the Rays, who has hit a .306 ISO and wOBA of .422 against righties this season. Let’s add Caminero to add at least two total bases to close out this same-game parlay.

Kansas City Royals at New York Yankees

The Kansas City Royals will send out Michael Wacha for tonight’s game against the New York Yankees. Wacha has already allowed a .172 ISO and wOBA of .350 to his first 35 lefties faced as a right-handed pitcher. In addition, Wacha has allowed 17.1% of walks and has struck out just 17.1% of batters when facing lefties.

Ben Rice is leading off for the Yankees. He’s a lefty who has hit a .370 ISO and wOBA of .524 against righties to begin the season. Meanwhile, Jazz Chisholm has added a .361 ISO and wOBA of .324 against his first 39 righties. Plus, Austin Wells has delivered a .200 ISO and wOBA of .318 against righties to begin his season.

Wacha has given up 47.8% of hard contact and has earned below 40% of ground balls against lefties. Instead, he’s allowed 26.1% of line drives and has earned just 6.8% of swinging strikes against lefties.

Let’s stack up the lefties in this Yankees lineup. Cody Bellinger is one of the only lefties who hasn’t consistently performed against righties this season. That’s why he’s been left off this parlay.
