    Houston Astros at Milwaukee Brewers

The Milwaukee Brewers will send out Chad Patrick tonight. The right-hander has struck out only 21.7% of righties, allowing a .212 ISO and wOBA of .329 to his first 69 righties this season. Beyond that, Patrick has allowed 27.5% of line drives and 27.5% of fly balls, and has induced only 27.5% of ground balls against righties this season.

In addition, he’s also allowed nearly 55% of hard contact and has given up a 9.8% barrel percentage to righties this season.

Meanwhile, he’ll take on three righties who have shown consistent power against righties over the last 30 days. Isaac Paredes has hit a .203 ISO and wOBA of .409 against righties over the last 30 days. He’s followed in the lineup by Christian Walker, another righty, who has hit a .192 ISO and wOBA of .335. Finally, Jake Meyers has hit a .169 ISO and wOBA of .395 against his last 70 righties this season. All three of these right-handed batters in the Astros lineup are hitting a high rate of line drives against righties. They’ve all got great matchups against Patrick.

New York Mets at Arizona Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks will throw Zac Gallen tonight. He’s a right-handed pitcher who has struggled against lefties to start the season. Gallen has earned 23.6% of strikeouts against lefties, but he’s also given up 12.4% of walks, with a .247 ISO and wOBA of .387. Gallen has allowed 39.3% of fly balls and 50% of hard contact, while inducing just 33.9% of ground balls against lefties.

He’ll battle a Mets lineup that has struck out below 18% of the time against righties. Only Francisco Alvarez has a strikeout rate of higher than 22% over the last 30 days, and he just got inserted back into the lineup after an injury.

Meanwhile, Juan Soto has slugged a .212 ISO and wOBA of .340 against his last 92 righties, and Francisco Lindor, as a lefty, has earned a .205 ISO and wOBA of .401 against his last 101 righties. Let’s take the two lefties to have big nights against Gallen, who has been terrible against lefties this season.
