MLB Same Game Parlay Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (9/11)
When it comes to betting on baseball, same-game parlays (SGPs) offer an extra sizzle and spice. These SGPs allow you the opportunity to combine multiple different legs into a single, customizable wager with potentially massive payouts. Whether you're a seasoned bettor or a curious newcomer, same-game parlays provide an enticing way to engage with America's favorite pastime.
Last week was a swing and a miss on my parlays to keep the baseball metaphor alive but it's still a positive season. Remember, these are high-risk, high-reward bets, so you won't be hitting winners every day but when you do, it'll be well worth it. Remember to shop around for the best odds. It's been a bit of a tough couple of weeks, missing a lot of parlays by one leg. But hey, we bounce back. Let's get to it.

Baltimore Orioles at Boston Red Sox
- Leg 1: Rafael Devers 3+ Total Bases (+175)
- Leg 2: Red Sox Over 5.5 Runs (+145)
- Leg 3: Red Sox -2 (+188)
We have a barn burner of an American League East matchup today as the Orioles continue contending for the division title while the Red Sox continue fighting for a playoff spot. Let's start with Rafael Devers. He is not only on a hot streak recently, going 7-for-21 in the last seven games, but he has hit Dean Kremer quite well already, batting .389 with almost half his hits going for multiple bases. Don't be surprised by a stellar performance today from Devers.
Looking at the rest of the Red Sox’s projected starting lineup, the entire lineup has a combined 43 at-bats against Kremer with a .910 OPS. The Baltimore starter is expected to face a higher percentage of lefties, which isn't exactly favorable and he takes a step back on the road. Nick Pivetta goes for Boston and he's been solid recently, allowing three runs over his last 12.0 innings. Seasonally, it's not as great, but I'm riding the hot hand and recent play for this SGP.
Parlay Odds: +550
Oakland Athletics at Houston Astros
- Leg 1: Hunter Brown 7+ Strikeouts (-165)
- Leg 2: Hunter Brown Under 1.5 Earned Runs Allowed (+110)
- Leg 3: Astros -3 (+184)
Keeping it simple here with the better team taking care of business in a bounce-back spot. After falling in 12 innings yesterday, the Astros send Hunter Brown to the bump, who has a 3.12 home ERA in his 13 starts in Houston this year. He has limited the Athletics’ projected starting lineup to a .203 batting average with nearly half of the plate appearances resulting in strikeouts. I expect him to shove today. Any offense will do for the Astros. Athletics starter Joey Estes has allowed seven hits in 20 at-bats to these Astros hitters, so I feel comfortable with Houston covering three runs as they glide to victory.
Parlay Odds: +500
Chicago Cubs at Los Angeles Dodgers
- Leg 1: Cubs Moneyline (+142)
- Leg 2: Over 10.5 Runs (+142)
- Leg 3: Dansby Swanson 3+ Total Bases (+280)
Finally, out west, we have another solid matchup as the Cubs look to make it three straight wins against the mighty Dodgers and eight straight road wins. Spoiler alert, I think they make it nine straight. Bobby Miller could be the biggest weak link on this Dodgers team with a 7.40 ERA in his last four starts alone. In his one outing against the Cubs this year, he didn't make it through two innings before allowing five runs on four hits with a home run and two walks allowed. Not great.
You can't go against the Dodgers’ high-powered offense, so I do expect plenty of runs to be scored, hence the alternate over, but I'm going to continue riding the Cubs here. For a player prop over I'm taking Dansby Swanson. Not only has he homered off Miller, but after going 0-for-5 yesterday, I'm buying a bounce-back performance. He's also been red-hot in September, batting .324 with a pair of long balls. If you aren't comfortable with Dansby, I'd bet some prop overs for Ian Happ or Cody Bellinger. This is already quite a longshot SGP however, so proceed with caution.
Parlay Odds: +1100
