Cleveland Guardians vs. Chicago White Sox

The Cleveland Guardians will roll with Parker Messick tonight. The left-hander has added 25.5% of strikeouts over the last month and has limited batters to a .138 ISO during that stretch.

Messick will compete against a projected White Sox lineup that has collectively struck out 23.8% of the time against lefties in the last month. It’s a lineup featuring six batters who have struck out at least 23.8% of the time against lefties over the last 30 days.

Messick added 26% of strikeouts this season and should continue to find success in that department tonight.

Meanwhile, Hagen Smith will open for the Chicago White Sox. He could go as long as three innings, but the bullpen will take over the rest of the way.

Over the last month, Jo Adell has hit a .296 ISO and a .481 wOBA against his last 31 lefties, and Angel Martinez has smacked a .379 ISO and a .457 wOBA against his last 30 lefties. I’ll back them to each add at least two total bases tonight.
