MLB Same Game Parlays & Picks: Monday (5/25)
We have plenty of data to sift through regarding today’s MLB same-game parlays (SGPs), as Monday’s Memorial Day slate is more loaded than usual with 13 games, eight of which are division rivals.
I focus on one of those divisional rivalries in this column, while looking to build on the momentum of last week’s profitable set of same-game parlays with a divisional-matchup theme.
Let’s dive into the two best MLB SGPs for Monday, May 25th.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Milwaukee Brewers
- Leg 1: Under 7.5 Runs (-105)
- Leg 2: Jacob Misiorowski Under 8.5 Strikeouts (-117)
- Leg 3: Brice Turang Under 1.5 Total Bases (-171)
Jacob Misiorowski is soaring up the National League Cy Young Award leaderboard as he has allowed zero runs in his last 24.1 innings. At the conclusion of his last start, that was the third-longest active streak in Major League Baseball.
Misiorowski has 88 strikeouts in 57 innings, and has already exceeded his total of 87 punchouts through 66 innings last season. The flamethrower has thrown 13 pitches at least 103 miles per hour (MPH). Only one other starting pitcher has even thrown two pitches that fast since 2008.
While Misiorowski’s 88 strikeouts through 10 games are the second-most in franchise history (behind Corbin Burnes’ 94 in 2021), I’m selling high for this start when he faces a Cardinals team that makes pesky contact, just like when they’ve frustrated Pirates ace Paul Skenes nearly every time he’s toed the rubber against them.
Since I expect the under to cash, I’m also fading Brice Turang’s ability to fill the stat sheet. Michael McGreevy should get the better of Turang in their first head-to-head meeting, especially since the righty has an opponents’ batting average 28 points better against left-handed batters.
McGreevy has also improved his ERA from 3.62 last month to 1.57 this month. That improvement is due in large part to his ability to induce ground balls. McGreevy scattered 10 hits in an up-and-down start last time out because he got 15 ground ball outs, and now has 36 ground ball outs to 31 fly ball outs this month after a 38:49 ratio in April.

New York Yankees vs. Kansas City Royals
- Leg 1: Royals Moneyline (+130)
- Leg 2: Under 9.0 Runs (-108)
- Leg 3: Aaron Judge Under 1.5 Total Bases (-103)
Since the start of last season, the Yankees have won nine straight regular-season games against the Royals. But Michael Wacha has had great career success against current Yankees hitters, tipping the scale in Kansas City's favor.
Wacha has held current Yankees hitters to a combined .151/.252/.257 slash line in 119 at-bats, while recording 41 strikeouts. He is red-hot, having recorded four consecutive quality starts, while pitching to a 2.08 ERA and a 22:6 K:BB ratio. I'm also selling high on Will Warren after he won five of his last six starts, given his 42nd percentile hard-hit rate.
Aaron Judge can breathe a sigh of relief after breaking a four-game hitless streak with a 2-for-4 day and a walk-off two-run home run yesterday. But I'm not ignoring his 11-game homerless and career-long RBI drought, especially when facing a starting pitcher that has had his number.
Against Wacha, Judge is 4-for-23 with one extra-base hit and 12 of his 19 outs coming via strikeout.
In a recent nine-game stretch where Judge went 4-for-35, his .348 OPS in those 40 plate appearances was the worst of his career over a 40-plate-appearance stretch.
And if the Royals do win, it is likely to be as part of a pitcher’s duel. After all, New York’s last four starting pitchers have combined to allow three earned runs over 23 innings, but the team is just 1-3 over that span.
