MLB Same Game Parlays & Picks: Monday (6/8)
With just two of the eight games on the Major League Baseball slate between division rivals, there are plenty of unique matchups to scour for today’s MLB same-game parlays (SGPs).
I focus on two games between American League opponents, looking to build momentum by only needing one of my SGPs to cash to turn in a profitable day.
Let’s dive into the two best MLB SGPs for Monday, June 8th.

Seattle Mariners vs. Baltimore Orioles
- Leg 1: Mariners Moneyline (-136)
- Leg 2: Under 9.0 Runs (-121)
- Leg 3: Pete Alonso 1+ Hits (-221)
The Mariners were on the verge of winning their fifth series out of the last six in yesterday’s rubber match against the Tigers. However, closer Andres Munoz couldn’t protect a one-run lead in the ninth inning and blew his fifth save in 14 chances. But I expect Seattle to rebound quickly from that crushing loss against an Orioles squad that is just 11-18 against teams over .500.
When Seattle experimented with piggybacking two starting pitchers (Bryce Miller and Luis Castillo) in their outings, that said a lot about the confidence that manager Dan Wilson had in youngster Emerson Hancock. While Hancock’s two main pitches have an xwOBA of .430 or higher, he has still made quality starts in three of the last four outings.
While Chris Bassitt has allowed a home run in three of his last four starts, I trust he will limit the damage against the home-run-reliant Mariners.
Pete Alonso entered Sunday batting .324 with five home runs and 16 RBI in his last 18 games. Hancock has allowed just three hits over his last 12 innings, but this leg adds value with a batter as hot as Alonso.

New York Yankees vs. Cleveland Guardians
- Leg 1: Guardians Moneyline (-114)
- Leg 2: Under 8.0 Runs (-110)
- Leg 3: Jose Ramirez 1+ Hits (-221)
The Yankees split their two home games over the weekend with the Red Sox, but their only win came in a Cam Schlittler start, who has owned Boston in three career appearances against them. In this pitching matchup of Will Warren and Gavin Williams, I am siding with the Guardians.
Entering the weekend, the Yankees had staggering splits with and without Aaron Judge in the lineup since 2022:
| Games | Win Rate | Runs/G | Home Runs/G | OBP | Slugging Rate | |
| With | 625 | 59.2% | 5.0 | 1.6 | .328 | .435 |
| Without | 85 | 42.4% | 3.8 | 1.1 | .294 | .367 |
Jose Ramirez has been a model of consistency since the start of 2020. In that span, he ranks seventh in home runs, fourth in RBI, fourth in total bases, first in stolen bases and third in WAR (among position players).
Ramirez had seven hits in 13 at-bats in the series at Yankee Stadium last week, so it shouldn’t be too much to ask for him to produce at least one base hit tonight.
