MLB Same Game Parlays & Picks: Thursday (6/11)

It’s a getaway day for many MLB teams today. However, there are still eight games on the slate, including three games tonight. That said, I’ve added my favorite two MLB same-game parlays (SGPs) for the later portion of the slate.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

The Pittsburgh Pirates are set to pitch Mitch Keller tonight. The righty has allowed a .212 ISO and a wOBA of .354 to his last 72 lefties. He’s also struggled to induce ground balls during that stretch and has allowed 43.1% of line drives. Additionally, he’s given up an 11.8% barrel rate, and he has earned only 10% of swinging strikes.

The Dodgers have many lefties doing damage against righties right now. Shohei Ohtani has hit a .338 ISO and a wOBA of .550 against his last 82 righties. Freddie Freeman has earned a .349 ISO and a wOBA of .457 against his last 77 righties.

Max Muncy has slugged a .228 ISO and a wOBA of .373. The Dodgers lefties should have some really good at-bats against Keller and the Pirates tonight.

Atlanta Braves vs. Chicago White Sox

The Braves are pitching Martin Perez tonight. The veteran lefty has struck out 25.3% of batters over the last month, while holding teams to a .287 wOBA during that stretch. He’s set to face a White Sox team that has five batters who have struck out at least 24% of the time against lefties in the last 30 days.

On the other hand, Anthony Kay is scheduled to take the hill for the White Sox. He’s a lefty who has added just 18.1% of strikeouts over the last month. The Braves only have three batters in the entire projected lineup who have struck out more than 18.5% of the time. The under for Kay’s strikeouts looks promising.

Kay has allowed a .192 ISO and a wOBA of .361 to his last 30 lefties. He’s a lefty himself, but he’s allowed a .333 batting average on balls in play (BABIP) with only 36.8% of ground balls induced against other lefties in the last 30 days.

Matt Olson has hit a .239 ISO and a wOBA of .358 with just 15.7% of strikeouts against lefties in the last 30 days. Olson can certainly turn on one.
