MLB World Series Game 2 Picks: Yankees vs. Dodgers (Saturday)
Last night's World Series game was an instant classic that ultimately went to the Dodgers (1-0), thanks to a walk-off grand slam home run from Freddie Freeman in the bottom of the 10th.
The Yankees (0-1) will turn to Carlos Rodon for Game 2, as they try to break into the win column. Yoshinobu Yamamoto gets the nod for the Dodgers. Tonight's game is scheduled for 8:08 p.m. ET from Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, CA. Let's dive into my best bet for tonight's contest.

New York Yankees (+122) vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (-144) | O/U 8.5 (-124/+102)
It's never easy to lock in an under with two potent offenses like we have here. However, I think this is a spot where it's worth a flier on the under, especially since we're getting a plus-money payout.
Ultimately, this wager is all about the head-to-head matchups between the pitchers and their opposing offense. For Carlos Rodon, the left-hander has held the Dodgers' current lineup to a slash line of .198/.293/.519 over 81 at-bats. Specifically, Los Angeles' big guns of Mookie Betts (1-for-19), Freddie Freeman (1-for-7) and Shohei Ohtani (1-for-3) are a combined 3-for-29 (.103) against the southpaw.
As for Yoshinobu Yamamoto, the rookie faced the Yankees once this year on June 7th, blanking them over seven innings of work. New York's current roster is slashing just .125/.192/.292 against him over 24 at-bats. Additionally, both of these bullpens are top-tier units. Los Angeles finished the regular season ranked fourth in relief ERA (3.53), while New York was sixth (3.62). Those ERAs have dipped to 3.06 and 3.19, respectively, in the playoffs.
Ultimately, we constantly see pitching rise to the occasion when the lights are the brightest. We were on track for an under last night until the walk-off grand slam. I think runs will be tough to come by once again. Give me the under.
Bet: Under 8.5 Runs (+102)
