(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Brice Turang (+820)
Brice Turang has a .226 ISO and a .478 wOBA against his last 36 righties. He’s also hit 26.1% of fly balls and 47.8% of hard contact against righties in the last 30 days.
Tonight, Turang battles Nick Martinez of the Tampa Bay Rays. Martinez has allowed 31.6% of fly balls to lefties in the last 30 days. He’s also struck out just 12.5% of lefties in the last month. Beyond that, Martinez has given up 50% of hard contact and has just a 7.1% swinging strike rate against lefties in the last 30 days.
Turang has a ton of potential as a lefty in the Milwaukee lineup.
Jake Bauers (+590)
Jake Bauers has been a key offensive piece for the Brewers. He’s hit .269 with one home run and six RBI, and he’s posted a .864 OPS through the playoffs. Again, he’s a lefty who can take advantage of Martinez.
Martinez has allowed a lot of fly balls and hard contact to lefties lately, and Bauers has the power potential to hit one out.
After all, Bauers has hit 30.8% of line drives and 46.2% of hard contact, along with a team-best 15.4% barrel rate, against righties in the last 30 days.
Jonathan Aranda (+730)
Jonathan Aranda has a heavy strikeout rate against righties. But if he connects, he has massive potential for the Rays. He’s hit 47.8% of fly balls against righties in the last 30 days. He’s also posted a 60.9% hard-hit rate and an 8.7% barrel rate against righties during that time.
Aranda faces Jacob Misiorowski, who is never easy to beat. That said, Misiorowski walked 16.7% of his last 24 lefties and has allowed 77.8% of hard contact with 33% of line drives. He also allowed 27.8% of fly balls to lefties this season.
Aranda has the most potential in the Rays lineup to go yard.
