San Antonio Spurs vs. New York Knicks

In Game 3, we chose De’Aaron Fox to score the first basket. He attempted San Antonio’s first two shots but missed both of them after Victor Wembanyama won the opening tip-off.

Ultimately, it was Wembanyama who scored first, but the value remains with Fox.

Wembanyama won over 90% of opening tips in the regular season. It’s very likely the Spurs open up tonight’s game with the first possession. With the first possession often comes the first shot.

The Knicks allowed the first basket to point guards 29% of the time during the regular season. This is why Fox was able to take two first-basket attempts at the start of Game 3. He didn’t make either shot, but the numbers still make sense to take Fox to score first. This time he’s priced at +650. Let’s give him another shot.

Pick: De’Aaron Fox (+650)
