NBA Finals Same Game Parlays: Pacers vs. Thunder (Game 1)
The Indiana Pacers have earned a trip to the NBA Finals after an improbable run that included many upsets and comebacks. They knocked off the Milwaukee Bucks, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the New York Knicks.
Now they’ll need to figure out the Oklahoma City Thunder to win the franchise’s first NBA Championship.
The Thunder have been the best defensive team in the NBA during the playoffs. They’ve also been one of the most entertaining offenses behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. They’re the more balanced team in comparison to the Pacers. Will that help the Thunder get a win in Game 1?

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Indiana Pacers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
- Leg 1: Aaron Nesmith Under 11.5 Points (-114)
- Leg 2: Bennedict Mathurin Over 2.5 Rebounds (+140)
- Leg 3: Obi Toppin Over 0.5 Three-Pointers Made (-220)
Since Aaron Nesmith’s 30-point explosion against the Knicks, he’s added no more than 12 points in three of his last five games. Additionally, he has scored 13 points in his last two games combined, yet has not played more than 20 minutes in either game. His impact will likely stay down against the Thunder. After all, the Thunder have limited small forwards to the lowest number of points per game this season. Small forwards also have the lowest field goal percentage against the Thunder and have made the fewest amount of field goals.
On the other hand, Bennedict Mathurin has secured no more than two rebounds in four of his last five games. However, in Game 5 against the Knicks, he grabbed nine rebounds. Mathurin has hauled in at least three rebounds in 74% of games this season and has averaged five rebounds per game in his last three games against the Thunder. He’s hit this line in all three of those games against the Thunder. If Mathurin plays well, the minutes will increase.
Obi Toppin drilled two threes in Game 6 against the Knicks. He’s now hit at least one three in two of his last three games. Toppin saw a series-best 25 minutes in Indiana’s Game 6 win over the Knicks. His usage remained above 20%, and he took four three-pointers in the win. Ultimately, he’s taken eight three-pointers in two consecutive games and will face a Thunder team ranked 26th in three-pointers made against power forwards this season. Toppin should find some open looks from three tonight.
