NBA Finals Same Game Parlays: Thursday (Thunder vs. Pacers)

The Oklahoma City Thunder are one win away from winning the NBA Championship.

It’s been an exciting series between the Thunder and Pacers. However, Tyrese Haliburton could miss Game 6 due to a calf strain, with the Pacers already down 3-2 in the series. That would be a massive blow to the Pacers, who have won many games because of Haliburton’s late-game heroics.

The Thunder didn’t shoot well in Game 5. As a matter of fact, Oklahoma City hit only 42.6% from the field and were outshot by the Pacers. However, the Thunder forced 23 turnovers and allowed only 11. They also hit 43.8% from downtown and got to the foul line slightly more. That was the difference in Game 5.

Additionally, the Thunder added a 111-104 win over the Pacers in Game 4 on the road. Oklahoma City won its most recent road game against the Pacers and shot better from the field on the road than at home between Games 4 and 5.

With that in mind, here’s a same-game parlay (SGP) for tonight’s Game 6 matchup below.

Oklahoma City Thunder at Indiana Pacers

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has added at least six rebounds in just one of his last five games. He also finished with just two rebounds in Game 5 and added only three rebounds in Game 4. SGA has averaged 8.5 rebound chances per game over the last ten games. However, he’s only added five rebounds of his previous 16 chances and is facing a Pacers team that ranks first in the NBA in total rebounds allowed to point guards this year.

On the other hand, Bennedict Mathurin has secured at least four rebounds in two of his last three games. As a matter of fact, he hauled in eight rebounds in Game 5 and had 13 rebound chances. That shouldn’t come as a surprise, either. After all, the Thunder rank 23rd in the NBA in total rebounds allowed to small forwards. They’re also dead last in offensive rebounds allowed to small forwards and Mathurin had six offensive rebounds in Game 5.

Finally, over the last ten games, Gilgeous-Alexander has attempted 1.7 threes per game. He’s taken at least two threes in four straight games, but has only shot 24.2% from deep over the last ten games. Meanwhile, the Pacers rank 9th in the NBA in three-pointers to point guards and rank 7th in the NBA in field goals attempted this season. SGA will shoot his volume, like always, but it likely won’t come from three-point range.
