Top NBA First Basket Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (11/30)

Wednesdays are always the most exciting days of the week in the NBA.

There are 13 games on the slate with many intriguing matchups. However, we’ve got you covered if you’re looking for a few quick bets.

I’ve added multiple first-basket bets to consider for tonight’s incredible NBA slate below.

Toronto Raptors vs. New Orleans Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans have won 70% of the tip over their last ten games. The Pelicans have also scored the first field goal in six of those ten games, needing just 2.1 shots to score their first bucket.

Tonight, the Pelicans will be home against the Raptors. Toronto has only won the tip 50% of the time over the last ten games and has scored its first field goal 40% of the time over the last ten games.

It’s taken the Raptors 2.5 shots to score their first field goal.

Most of the public would roll with Zion Williamson or Jonas Valanciunas. But Brandon Ingram is out, and Herbert Jones has been the main guy offensively early.

Jones has started in each of the last ten games and has scored four first-field goals with five of the team’s first-field goals. Keep betting on Jones while he’s on this hot streak. He’s scored the first bucket for the Pelicans in five of the last ten games and has odds of +700.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Utah Jazz

The Clippers have won the tip 70% of the time over the last ten games. They’ve also scored the first field goal 70% of the time over the last ten games.

On top of that, Los Angeles has scored the first bucket in 1.5 shots to start the game.

On the other hand, the Jazz has only won the tip in four of 10 games. They’ve also only scored the first field goal in four of ten games.

The Clippers have a clear advantage here because they will likely win the tip.

Los Angeles won’t have Paul George or Kawhi Leonard. John Wall usually comes off the bench, but he’s not healthy, either.

Therefore, it’s been Marcus Morris picking up the slack. He’s started in the last ten games and has six of the team’s first field goals in those ten games. He also has scored the game’s first field goal in four of ten games.

At +470, there’s value on Morris.

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers will play a home game against the Blazers. They’ve won the tip and scored first in five of their last ten games. Meanwhile, the Blazers have only won the tip in three of their last ten games with just four first baskets in the last ten games.

The Lakers have needed 2.1 shots to score their first basket, while the Blazers have taken 3.4 shots per game over the last ten games to score their first basket.

The Lakers have the advantage.

LeBron James has started in four of the Lakers’ last ten games. In those four games, he’s scored the team’s first field goal in three games and has the game’s first field goal in two of four games.

Yet, oddsmakers still have Anthony Davis with a higher probability ahead of James. Back James at +500 to score first.
