San Antonio Spurs vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

The Spurs won the opening tip in Game 2 and scored the first basket behind De’Aaron Fox’s two-point shot, assisted by Stephon Castle. It was another opening tip win for Victor Wembanyama, who has won over 90% of his opening tips this season.

In Game 3, I wasn’t sure if Fox or Dylan Harper would play. Both were healthy, and Fox started and scored first.

The Thunder allowed the first basket to point guards 33% of the time during the regular season. Centers were second on the list at 25%.

That said, Wembanyama has dropped to +300 to score first, while Fox is currently +800. The value for Fox is still high despite him scoring first in Game 3. Therefore, let’s ride with Fox to score first for the second consecutive game.

Pick: De’Aaron Fox (+800)
