NBA Playoffs Same Game Parlay Picks & Predictions: Monday (Nuggets vs. Lakers)

The Los Angeles Lakers are in desperation mode. They’ve lost the first three games of the Western Conference Finals. One more loss to the Nuggets and the Lakers would be sent home.

Oddsmakers seem to be still giving the Lakers a chance. Los Angeles is around -155 at most sportsbooks to win tonight’s game.

You’d have to imagine that the Lakers will play their star players for most of the game. Still, a must-win game doesn’t always mean that that team will win outright.

Can the Lakers defy the series odds and earn a win tonight to keep their hopes alive in the Western Conference Finals?

Here are a couple of same-game parlays to consider for tonight’s Game 4.

Denver Nuggets at Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers need to get back to the basics. At times, I felt like the Lakers got too cute with adjustments. D’Angelo Russell is the fourth-leading scorer on the Lakers in the postseason. He’s scored 11 points in one quarter for the Lakers in a postseason game. Russell has struggled from the field, but if he gets minutes, he’ll find his form again.

On the other hand, Austin Reaves has to continue knocking down his shots. He’s shooting 55% from the field and 56.5% from downtown through three games in this series. Reaves has scored at least 22 points in four straight games. That’ll continue tonight, as he’s nailed at least three threes in six straight games.

Meanwhile, there’s no guarantee that the Lakers will put the Nuggets away tonight. Nikola Jokic is shooting over 52% from the field and has averaged 27 points per game in this series. He’s even hit 45.5% from downtown in this series. Jokic is capable of putting up 30 points any night. He’ll be motivated to finish off the series.

Denver Nuggets at Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers haven’t had much consistency in this series. But Austin Reaves has been the bright spot offensively. Reaves has added six assists per game in this series. He’s hit at least five assists in five straight games and this number in six of his last ten. He’s truly becoming a high-end quality player for the Lakers and doing everything on the court while earning 39 minutes a night.

However, Rui Hachimura won’t be adding many rebounds in Game 4. I know he had six in Game 3, but he only managed two in the first two games for the Lakers while playing 58 minutes in those two games. If he’s shooting well, the Lakers will continue to play him, but he’s ultimately not a huge rebounding threat.

Meanwhile, Jamal Murray is averaging 24.3 shots per game in this series. So when will he have enough time to earn six or more assists? He’s only hit six assists in one of the three games, and we’re getting +112 on his odds. I’ll take a chance there.
