Los Angeles Clippers vs. Denver Nuggets

Russell Westbrook finished with 10 rebounds in Game 6. However, he added just four rebounds in his previous three games against the Clippers before that. Ultimately, the Clippers rank ninth in the NBA in rebounds allowed to point guards. They’re not as good on the offensive glass, but rank eighth in the NBA in rebounds allowed on the defensive end to point guards. While Westbrook had 14 rebound chances in Game 6, he had just 14 rebound chances in his previous three games combined. I don’t expect him to see even 10 rebound chances tonight. He’s averaged 6.6 rebound chances per game over his last 10 games.

Nikola Jokic might not put up a whole lot of points tonight. But his assist numbers should still be good. Jokic has earned at least 10 assists in seven of his last 10 games. He’s also added at least 10 assists in three of his last five games against the Clippers. Ultimately, Los Angeles ranks dead last in assists to centers per game this season. That’s the one real weakness in the Clippers’ defense. Jokic has taken advantage, adding at least 17 potential assists in all but one game in this series.

Kawhi Leonard finished with five assists in Game 6. He’s now earned 16 assists in his last two games. For one, the Nuggets rank 29th in assists allowed to small forwards. Second, Leonard has tallied at least seven potential assists in every game of this series. He’s been super consistent. As long as his teammates come through, Leonard should be able to reach at least five assists.
