NBA Same Game Parlay Picks: Sunday (Nuggets vs. Thunder)

It certainly doesn’t get any better than this.

The Denver Nuggets will battle the Oklahoma City Thunder for the last Western Conference Finals spot in the NBA Playoffs. The winner of this game will face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the WCF. However, the loser will pack their bags and head home.

Right now, there are concerns with Aaron Gordon. He hurt his hamstring in Game 6 and could be unavailable in Game 7 today. The Nuggets feed off Gordon’s energy and he has also been one of the shining stars for the Nuggets throughout the playoffs. His absence could really hurt the former champions.

That said, I’ve created a same-game parlay (SGP) for tonight’s game using data from the last six games in this second-round series.

Denver Nuggets at Oklahoma City Thunder

Nikola Jokic has earned at least 14 rebounds in two consecutive games. He’s also hit this line in three of his last four games against the Thunder. After all, the Thunder rank 22nd in total rebounds allowed to centers this season. The Thunder also rank 20th in defensive rebounding against centers. Meanwhile, Jokic has earned at least 20 rebound chances in four straight games. He had the fewest amount of rebound chances since that Game 2 blowout, with only 20. Yet, he still managed to earn 14 rebounds. In a highly competitive, defensive battle in a Game 7, I’d expect plenty of missed shots on both sides. Jokic should clean up the glass.

When Jokic doesn’t grab the rebound, let’s hope it goes to Jamal Murray. Murray finished with eight rebounds in Game 6, but in his previous four games, he only finished with four rebounds in each. Either way, the Thunder still rank 25th in rebounds allowed to point guards this season. Murray has grabbed at least five rebounds in six of his last ten games and has averaged nearly 42 minutes a night over that same period. Don’t be surprised if he has another solid game on the glass.

Lastly, Alex Caruso has finished with at least three assists in six of his last ten games. He had missed out on three assists in four straight games against Denver before finishing with four in Game 6. At the end of the day, the Nuggets rank 28th in assists allowed to shooting guards this season. Caruso has had at least six potential assists in two of his last three games. If he can get to six again today, his teammates will just need to come through on 50% of his potential assists.
