New York Knicks vs. Detroit Pistons

The Knicks rank 28th in points allowed to point guards this season. Cade Cunningham has certainly taken advantage, but so can Dennis Schroder. He’s added at least 14 points in three of his last four games and has played at least 22 minutes in every game. In addition, his usage reached 29.9% in Game 4. He’s also shot 44.5% from the field over the last 10 games, but has hit at least 46% in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, the Pistons limit point guards to a super-low amount of assists, ranking second in the NBA in assists allowed to point guards. Jalen Brunson has recorded at least eight assists in three of the five games against the Pistons. However, he’s still hit this line in just 39% of his last 18 games against the Pistons. Plus, Brunson added at least eight assists in only 43% of games this season and in 35% of his previous 20 games.

Finally, Ausar Thompson has gained at least five rebounds in three of his last five games. He’s also coming off a seven-rebound performance in Detroit’s last game. Thompson has averaged more than 12 rebound chances in his last 10 games. However, he’s seen 29 rebound chances in his last two games. Meanwhile, the Knicks rank only 19th in rebounds allowed to small forwards. The Knicks are below average on the glass against small forwards, and Thompson has taken advantage.

Denver Nuggets vs. Los Angeles Clippers

Aaron Gordon has earned at least 14 points in eight consecutive games. He’s also hit this line in nine of his last 10 games. While the Clippers rank second in the NBA in points allowed to power forwards, Gordon has added at least 14 points in 13 of his last 18 games against the Clippers. He’s also hit this line in every game this series. Gordon has shot 51% over the last 10 games and has taken nearly 13 shots per game. He’s been super consistent.

Meanwhile, Bogdan Bogdanovic just scored 18 points in the most recent game of this series. He’s played at least 19 minutes in two consecutive games and had a usage percentage of 29% with the Clippers in Game 5. In addition, he’s taken at least seven shots in two straight games and has hit 43% or better from the field in the previous two games. If he continues to play like this, he’ll have a big enough role in tonight’s game.

Lastly, roll with Nikola Jokic to add at least 10 assists. He’s earned at least 10 assists in all but one game in this series. He’s also hit this line in 59% of games this season. Jokic has had at least 17 potential assists in every game of this series. He’s also had at least 22 potential assists in two of the five games, including the last game on April 29th. The Clippers rank dead last in assists allowed to centers. It all makes sense why Jokic has been this good at earning assists lately. Take the over.
