NBA Power Rankings: Week 10 (2021-22)
It’s been chaos in the NBA. So many players have tested positive for COVID and are currently in health and safety protocols. That will make things very difficult for many teams this week and beyond. So these rankings might not be as consistent, but we’ll adapt and change rankings based on performance each week.

Where’s The Value?
Utah Jazz
Currently, I have the Utah Jazz ranked as the third-best team in the NBA. However, via FanDuel, the Jazz has the sixth-best odds to win the NBA Championship. Utah is currently 21-9 and had an eight-game winning streak earlier this year.
However, it should be noted that the Jazz are struggling to win games that are within five points in the last five minutes, and they’re not very clutch. However, the Jazz are always a safe bet to make the playoffs, and from there, you never know what might happen.
Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavaliers have had a shocking season. The Cavs are currently 19-12 on the season and are third in the East, just 2.5 games back of first place. I can’t explain it either. However, there’s so much young talent on the Cleveland team that if these guys continue to develop, there’s reason to believe the Cavs can be a powerhouse team moving forward.
Cleveland has young players like Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, Collin Sexton, Evan Mobly, Lauri Markkannen, and veterans like Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love. It’s an interesting group of guys, and they’re playing exceptionally well together.
At +10000, there’s some serious value on the Cavaliers to win the NBA Championship. In the last couple of years, I think we’ve seen that anything can happen in the NBA Playoffs. It’s not just the LeBron show anymore.
Teams You Should Stay Away From
Los Angeles Lakers
Maybe the Lakers eventually figure things out. With LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, the Lakers have plenty of talent. However, with Anthony Davis injured and out and Russell Westbrook not living up to his contract, the Lakers are ranked 15 in my power rankings.
Even though the Lakers are 16-15 on the season, FanDuel gives us +1000 on the Lakers. Los Angeles might not even make the playoffs at this point, as they’re sitting in seventh in the West. Don’t bother with the Lakers.
New York Knicks
Earlier this season, everyone was in on the Knicks. The Knicks started the season off so well but completely fell back to Earth as the season progressed. At 13-17, the Knicks are currently not in playoff contention. Instead, teams like the Wizards and Hornets have more potential than the Knicks.
The Knicks are getting +8000 odds when they should be getting +50000 odds to win the NBA Title. You’re looking at the Lakers and Knicks tax. Don’t fall for the trap.
