NBA Power Rankings: Week 11 (2021-22)

It’s been chaos in the NBA. So many players have tested positive for COVID and are currently in health and safety protocols. That will make things very difficult for many teams this week and beyond. So these rankings might not be as consistent, but we’ll adapt and change rankings based on performance each week.

Where’s The Value?

Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors just knocked off the Suns on Christmas Day, 116-107. Therefore, the Warriors have to get the top spot for that win on the road.

However, the Warriors could move down the rankings next week with Draymond Green out of action due to health and safety protocols. The Warriors will have Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins back but will be without the glue in Draymond Green.

Eventually, though, when Klay Thompson comes back, and Draymond Green is available again, the Warriors will be a tough out. There’s value on the Warriors right now. You can take them now or wait until after the week is over. The Warriors might struggle without Draymond Green, although it’s certainly not a given.

Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls were one of the first teams to really get walloped with COVID. They were without so many key pieces for a long time. With a healthy lineup and a 21-10 record, the Bulls are a dangerous team with Coby White, Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic.

The Bulls are playing extremely well and can now take advantage of other teams without players due to COVID.

Teams You Should Stay Away From

Los Angeles Clippers

The Clippers have two of their best players out with injuries. Paul George was the latest to go on the injury list. At first, the team said they’d expect him out for a month. Now things are looking a little bit worse. There was a report that the Clippers are unsure if Paul George will return this season from injury.

It’s all downhill for the Clippers right now. I know it’s appealing, but don’t bite!

Portland Trail Blazers

We’re just waiting for the time where C.J. McCollum gets back to playing with the Blazers. After being diagnosed with a collapsed lung, reports are that McCollum could get back to playing on the hardwood soon. However, with a 13-20 record, his presence might be a little too late to push this team back into the playoff hunt.

It’s always fun rooting for Damien Lillard and CJ McCollum in the playoffs, but it’s looking unlikely that they’ll make any kind of run this year. Next up on the Blazers slate will be the Jazz. Good luck.
