NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions: Saturday (1/18)
With six games on today’s NBA slate, there are plenty of good value plays on PrizePicks.
Like every NBA PrizePicks article, we’ll give out four-player predictions you can use for a four-leg Power Play entry. A two-leg Power Play entry will give you implied odds of -137 for each prediction. A three-leg Power Play entry will give you implied odds of -141. A four-leg NBA PrizePicks Power Play entry will give you implied odds of -128 for each prediction.
Getting -128 on the same prediction is better than -137 or -141. Here are our top NBA PrizePicks player predictions for tonight’s action.
Remember that a Flex play can still win if one pick misses, but you’d get lower payouts.
Ausar Thompson Less Than 9.5 Points
Ausar Thompson has scored just 7.6 points per game this season. He’s hit at least 10 points in only 21% of games and has added just 7.9 points per game over his last 10.
Thompson saw his usage increase against Indiana a couple of days ago. However, he still only took nine shots and made just three.
Tonight, he’ll face a Phoenix defense ranked second in the NBA in points allowed to small forwards. He’s shot below 50% in two of his last three games and will likely struggle to find his shot in today’s matchup against Phoenix.
Jordan Poole More Than 20.5 Points
Jodan Poole has scored fewer than 21 points in two straight games. Yet, he’s come close to scoring more than 20, finishing with 20 and 18 in his last two games, respectively.
Poole has delivered at least 21 points in 63% of games this season. He’s also hit the more than on this line in seven of his last 10 games, averaging nearly 24 points per game in that span.
He’ll take on a Warriors defense currently ranked 22nd in the NBA in points allowed to shooting guards. Plus, he’s enjoyed success against his former team previously, going for more than his points total in two out of three games head-to-head.
Take Poole to go hit the more than tonight.
Tyrese Haliburton More Than 17.5 Points
Tyrese Haliburton only scored 17 points against the Pistons last time out. However, he’s scored at least 18 points in six of his last 10 games.
Haliburton has averaged 18.1 points per game this season. He’s also hit this number in nine out of 11 matchups against the 76ers dating back to 2021.
Against the 76ers, Haliburton has dropped an average of 24 points per game. He’s also on a streak with at least 22 points in five consecutive games against the 76ers.
Meanwhile, the 76ers have allowed point guards to score 25.03 points per game, which ranks 24th in the NBA. Philadelphia has struggled to defend the three against point guards, giving up 3.35 threes per game this season. Take Haliburton to hit the more than tonight.
Paul George Less Than 21.5 Points
Paul George has scored at least 25 points in three consecutive games. However, against Indiana, he might not replicate his recent success.
The Pacers rank eighth in the NBA in points allowed to small forwards. Meanwhile, George has also scored at least 22 points in just 26% of games this year. He’s also averaged only 18.9 points per game over the last 10.
He’s on a nice run, but he’ll run into a Pacers defense that should hold him to below 22 points. Small forwards have shot 42.38% against the Pacers this season and have had trouble consistently getting shot attempts.
