NBA Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Saturday (1/7)

With just five games on the slate today, there aren’t that many to look through. Despite that, I’ve found two same-game parlays that you should consider. Let’s get right to it!

NBA Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: January 7, 2023

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Dallas Mavericks

  • Leg 1: Christian Wood Under 8.5 Rebounds (-128)
  • Leg 2: Tim Hardaway Under 3.5 Rebounds (-115)
  • Leg 3: Christian Wood Under 2.5 Threes (-156)

It looks like I’ll be picking on Wood tonight. He is the second-leading scorer on the Mavericks, averaging 17.6 points along with eight rebounds per game.

Wood has only hit nine rebounds in 33 percent of games this season. The Pelicans are shorthanded, but they’re still a top-five team in defensive rebounding. Wood is coming off a 12-rebound performance against the Celtics but had six or seven rebounds in his three games prior.

Wood is also not the most consistent shooter. He has hit three threes in just 25 percent of games this season. He’s averaging just 1.8 three-pointers made and has attempted just 3.4. Per his averages, he’d have to hit every attempt to earn three threes.

Hardaway has only had four rebounds or more in 35 percent of games this season. He’s been a better rebounder as of late, but, as previously mentioned, he is taking on a Pelicans team that is dominant on the defensive glass. Hardaway won’t get any easy offensive rebounds to help him.

Utah Jazz vs. Chicago Bulls

  • Leg 1: Jordan Clarkson Under 22.5 Points (-111)
  • Leg 2: Jarred Vanderbilt Under 8.5 Points (-132)
  • Leg 3: Lauri Markkanen Over 7.5 Rebounds (-142)

The Jazz will look to get back to .500 in tonight’s game against the Bulls. They’ll be led by one of their leading scorers in Clarkson.

Clarkson has scored 20.6 points per game this season. He has a line of 22.5 in tonight’s game. He put up 19 points against the Rockets on Thursday and averaged 22.1 points over the entire month of December. That’s lower than his 22.5 line for Saturday. Chicago brings an average defense that should handle Clarkson enough.

Meanwhile, Vanderbilt isn’t one of the leading scorers. His number is also relatively high, sitting at 8.5 points. He’s scored 8.3 points per contest but has only hit eight points in 38 percent of games. Now, his line is even one point higher in this matchup.

As his line suggests, Markkanen probably won’t score 30 points tonight. I love him on the glass though. He’s grabbed 8.4 rebounds per game but has failed to reach more than eight boards the last two times out. That’s why his line is so low.

Markkanen has had 14 and 16-rebound efforts recently. That shows he is capable of having a big day against the Bulls on the boards.

Parlay Odds: +482
