NBA Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Sunday (4/9)

The guessing game will conclude after today.

On Tuesday, the NBA will be in its Play-In Tournament to decide the remaining playoff spots in the Eastern and Western Conferences. We won’t have to try and guess who won’t be playing and who will be playing. Starters will start and put in maximum effort.

But with that said, I will look at a couple of games that still have meaning today. Here are multiple same-game parlays to consider for today’s NBA slate.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

  • Leg 1: Karl-Anthony Towns Over 20.5 Points (-125)
  • Leg 2: Trey Murphy Over 1.5 Assists (-111)
  • Leg 3: Anthony Edwards Over 5.5 Rebounds (+118)

The Timberwolves can’t make it out of the Play-In Tournament. But they could still move up in the seedings for the tournament tonight. So this will be a legitimate basketball game. Starters will start, and effort will be at a max.

Towns has hit 21 or more points over 60% of the time in his last 20 starts. He’s also hit this number in four of his last five games. Towns is a capable three-point shooter and just attempted 19 shots against the Spurs. He’ll be just as good today.

Meanwhile, Anthony Edwards is the leading scorer on the T-Wolves, but I like his rebound prop a bit more. He’s averaging 5.7 rebounds per game. So when I see an Over 5.5 at +118, it’s a go for me. He’s averaged five rebounds over the last three games and hasn’t hit over five rebounds in eight straight games, but it’s just one more rebound that he’ll need. There will be plenty of opportunity for Edwards to bring down that extra board.

Finally, Trey Murphy averages only 1.4 assists per game. But in April, he’s averaging 2.3 assists per game. Murphy has hit at least two assists in four of his last five games and has done this in 60% of his last 20. In what could be a high-scoring game, I’ll take this prop.

Parlay Odds: +621

Golden State Warriors vs. Portland Trail Blazers

  • Leg 1: Klay Thompson Over 23.5 Points (-111)
  • Leg 2: Stephen Curry Over 5.5 Assists (-132)
  • Leg 3: Stephen Curry Over 4.5 Threes (+102)

Stephen Curry is probable for today’s game. That gives me all the confidence that the Warriors will earn a big win in Portland tonight. A Warriors win will keep them in a top-six seed in the Western Conference, so this game has some meaning.

Klay Thompson has attempted an average of 23.5 shots per game in April. Twelve of those shots are coming from downtown per game. He’s scored at least 25 points in three straight games and only shot 42.6% in April. He’s underperforming in that regard, but he’s still red-hot from downtown.

Meanwhile, Curry has attempted 22.3 shots per game in April. He’s shooting only 40.3% from the field in the month. But he’s attempted 11.3 threes per game in his last three. The three-point volume is there. He’s also added six assists in each of his previous two games.

As long as he’s passing to Klay Thompson, he should be able to rack up the assists with how well Thompson has shot it lately.

Parlay Odds: +513
