Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Indiana Pacers

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 35 points against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday. He didn’t do much damage in the first half, but came alive in the second half. He still had a usage of 34.3% and took nine three-pointers in the win. He also got to the foul line 14 times and uncharacteristically missed four foul shots. Ultimately, 35 points look good, but he could’ve been much better in that double-overtime game. Tonight, he’s set to face a Pacers team ranked 29th in free-throw attempts and free throws made by point guards. The Pacers also ranked 28th in points allowed to point guards. Gilgeous-Alexander is set to have another big game.

However, Gilgeous-Alexander will likely struggle on the glass. He added five rebounds in Tuesday’s game. But he’s in line to face an Indiana team ranked first in total rebounds allowed to point guards. Gilgeous-Alexander will score, but the rebounds will be hard to come by.

Meanwhile, Pascal Siakam will likely be the primary contributor for the Pacers this season with Tyrese Haliburton out. Siakam averaged about four three-point attempts per game last season. He also shot 37.2%. But it’s likely he’ll take even more shots from downtown against the Thunder. Oklahoma City ranks 26th in three-pointers made allowed and 25th in three-pointers attempted by power forwards.

Denver Nuggets vs. Golden State Warriors

Dating back to last year’s playoff series against Minnesota, Jonathan Kuminga has scored at least 17 points in five consecutive games. He’s also averaged 22.8 points in those five games. Ultimately, Kuminga played 31.4 minutes per game during that five-game stretch, including Opening Night on Tuesday. His usage wasn’t as high on Tuesday, but he still took six threes and nailed four of them. Kuminga is certainly developing and headed in the right direction.

Cam Johnson is now on the Nuggets. The former Nets forward typically recorded high assist totals. He actually added at least four assists in 70% of his last 20 games. Against the Warriors, he’s averaged 3.8 assists per game in his previous four. In his last 20 games on the floor, Johnson averaged 7.1 potential assists. He’s got better scorers around him this season.

Finally, let’s ride with Nikola Jokic to add at least 12 rebounds. Jokic has secured at least 12 rebounds in 55% of his last 20 games. He’s also averaged 25 rebound chances in his previous five games, dating back to the playoff series against the Thunder last season.
