Today’s Best NBA Same Game Parlay Bets
Boston Celtics vs. New York Knicks
- Leg 1: Kristaps Porzingis Over 1.5 Three-Pointers (-130)
- Leg 2: Julius Randle Over 21.5 Points (-135)
- Leg 3: Jrue Holiday Under 7.5 Assists (-145)
The new big man in Boston, Kristaps Porizingis, should see ample looks beyond the arc with Mitchell Robinson guarding him. Robinson is known more for his rim-protecting prowess, and the Unicorn has a quick release when he fires from downtown. Porzingis averaged 4.5 three-point attempts across an average of 23 minutes this preseason. I would expect him to put up closer to six or seven attempts from three tonight, so asking for two made should be doable.
With Jrue Holiday likely blanketing Jalen Brunson, Julius Randle will be asked to do the heavy lifting in the scoring department tonight at home. Considering the numbers he put up against Boston last season, Randle is up for the challenge. He scored 23+ points in all four contests against the Celtics, averaging 30 points per game. Tom Thibodeau always plays his starters for heavy minutes, and Randle should be able to exploit the thin frontcourt Boston possesses.
Jrue Holiday replaces Marcus Smart in the lineup at point guard this season. Smart averaged just 6.3 assists last season, and it’s not like we should expect Holiday to see more assists than that for Boston. They have Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and even Derrick White handling the ball from time to time. Holiday won't have the same easy assists to dump off to Giannis Antetokounmpo this season anymore. He averaged 7.4 assists per game with Milwaukee last season, and a good portion of that came without Khris Middleton, who handles the ball a lot as well. The Knicks played at the fifth-slowest pace last season and did a great job containing point guards, allowing the ninth-fewest assists to the position last season.
