Boston Celtics vs. Dallas Mavericks
- Leg 1: Daniel Gafford Under 14.5 Points (-128)
- Leg 2: Kristaps Porzingis Over 18.5 Points (-108)
- Leg 3: Spencer Dinwiddie Under 4.5 Assists (-125)
The Dallas Mavericks are shopping Daniel Gafford before the trade deadline. There are a couple of reasons for this. But ultimately, his offense hasn’t been consistent. He’s scored just 12.2 points per game and has added at least 15 points in just 30% of games this season. In addition, he’s totaled at least 15 points in just two of his last 10 games and will now battle a Boston defense that ranks first in the NBA in points allowed to centers.
Meanwhile, Kristaps Porzingis has totaled at least 19 points in six of his last 10 games. He’s also averaged slighly below 19 points per game this season. That said, Porzingis will face a Dallas defense ranked 27th in points allowed to power forwards. Power forwards have rolled 2.75 threes per game against the Mavericks and have added more than four free throws made per game. Porzingis will be involved tonight.
Finally, Spencer Dinwiddie has earned at least five assists in none of his last five games. He’s also averaged just three assists per game in the previous five games. Beyond that, Boston ranks second in the NBA in assists allowed to point guards this season. It’s already unlikely Dinwiddie will earn assists to Gafford, for example. Take his under.

Houston Rockets vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
- Leg 1: Tari Eason Over 10.5 Points (-111)
- Leg 2: Fred VanVleet Over 14.5 Points (-118)
- Leg 3: Darius Garland Over 21.5 Points (-125)
Some basketball fans might think this game will go under. But it’s actually got a good chance of going over the total.
Tari Eason has scored at least 11 points in six of his last 10 games. He’s also averaged 13.2 points in his previous five games. That said, he’ll face a Cleveland defense ranked 23rd in the NBA in points allowed to small forwards this season. Eason has taken more than nine shots per game over the last 10 and has shot just below 40%. Against Cleveland, this number should improve.
On the other hand, Fred VanVleet has also added at least 15 points in 53% of games this season. He’s coming off 26 points against Cleveland a few days back and played almost 40 minutes in that game. VanVleet also had a usage of 22.1% against the Cavaliers, which was the highest percentage over the last 10 games. Ultimately, the Cavaliers rank 29th in points allowed to point guards this season. VanVleet should get a lot of opportunities from downtown tonight.
Hopefully, it’s the VanVleet versus Garland show for our sake. Houston ranks 27th in points allowed to point guards. Garland recently scored 26 against the Rockets on January 22nd. He followed that performance with 26 against Philadelphia and has now scored at least 22 points in six of his last 10 games. He’s also got a terrific matchup that we’ll want to exploit.
