NBA Same Game Parlay Picks: Thursday (Timberwolves vs. Thunder)

The Oklahoma City Thunder will look to add another win in the Western Conference Finals over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Thunder added a 114-88 win in Game 1 and are currently 7.5-point favorites in Game 2 at home. That said, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was just announced as the league MVP. He got pretty emotional yesterday and even bought the entire team Rolex watches. This isn’t a distraction, but yesterday’s busy day could result in a potential lackluster Game 2.

Here’s a same-game parlay (SGP) for tonight’s Game 2 matchup.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

Jalen Williams scored 19 points in Game 1. He played over 33 minutes in that game and saw the highest usage he’s seen over the last 10 games. Meanwhile, he only hit 7-of-18 from the floor and shot below 39% in Game 1. He also took just two three-point attempts. Williams was inefficient in Game 1, and that’s partly because the Timberwolves rank fourth in the NBA in points allowed to shooting guards this season. The Timberwolves have also limited shooting guards to the fifth-fewest amount of field goal attempts per game this year.

On the other hand, Julius Randle of the Timberwolves has been locked in. He’s scored at least 22 points in nine of his last 10 games. He’s also on a five-game streak with at least 24 points. The Thunder are pretty solid defensively against power forwards. However, Randle still added nine field goals on 13 shot attempts in Game 1. His volume wasn’t as high due to the blowout loss, but he’s shot 69% or better in two consecutive games. Randle has hit 52.1% from the field in his last 10 games. He’ll also see the foul line a few times.

Chet Holmgren hauled in only seven rebounds in Game 1. He’s added at least nine rebounds in just 48% of games this season. In addition, he’s earned at least nine rebounds in just one game against the Timberwolves in his career. This season, the Timberwolves rank third in the NBA in defensive rebounds allowed to centers. Let’s back Holmgren’s under to close out this parlay.
