Toronto Raptors vs. Orlando Magic
Leg 1: Toronto Moneyline (+102)
The Raptors are arguably the best road team in the Eastern Conference at 16-9. Before the loss at home to the Knicks on Wednesday, they had just finished a 4-1 road trip that included a win over the Thunder. Orlando, on the other hand, is coming off a 133-124 win over the Heat in Miami but lost its previous four games.
Consistency has been an issue for the Magic, so don't count on them playing like they did on Wednesday versus Miami. Toronto has been playing well of late and has been a solid road team all season. With the spread being so small, it is worth the risk to take Toronto to win outright rather than with the points.
Leg 2: Paolo Banchero Over 22.5 points (-120)
Toronto plays solid defense, but Paolo Banchero has been playing well of late, going over this total in six of his last seven games. He's finished over this total in his last four games and in six of his last seven. It will not be easy against Toronto, but he scored 23 points in the December 29th matchup.
Leg 3: Brandon Ingram Over 20.5 points (-122)
Orlando's defense is not bad; it held Brandon Ingram to 17 points in the December 29th game versus Orlando. But Ingram comes into this game playing well, scoring 20 points in four of his last five games.
SGP Odds: +526 - A $100 wager will result in a $626 payday; your stake plus $526 in winnings.
Detroit Pistons vs. Golden State Warriors
Leg 1: Detroit Moneyline (+100)
Detroit is arguably the best team in the league this season at 34-12 and a tough one to beat on the road (15-7). They are coming into this game fresh off a 114-96 loss to Phoenix, but had won six of the previous seven games. Golden State is still adjusting to life without Jimmy Butler, but they are healthy overall, otherwise.
But Detroit is still the better team and shouldn't be the underdog despite the game taking place in San Francisco (where the Warriors are 17-7).
Leg 2: Steph Curry Under 27.5 Points (-110)
Steph Curry is certainly capable of hitting this over, but the Pistons’ defense is solid, and recent history says not to count on him for the over. Since New Year's Day, Curry has gone over this mark just four times in 13 games.
Leg 3: Steph Curry Under 4.5 Made Three-Pointers (+100)
Curry could hit five or more three-pointers on any given night. He has hit this number just twice in his last five games and four times this month. Against the No. 2 scoring defense in the NBA (No. 6 in three-point rate allowed, 34.8%), I'm not going to count on him to hit five three-pointers.
Parlay Odds: +283 - A $100 wager will result in a $383 payday; your stake plus $283 in winnings.
