(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
- Leg 1: Isaiah Hartenstein Under 7.5 Points (-106)
- Leg 2: Mike Conley Over 2.5 Rebounds (-102)
- Leg 3: Jaden McDaniels Over 1.5 Three-Pointers Made (+102)
Isaiah Hartenstein has added just six points in each of his last two games against the Timberwolves in this series. His usage has dipped below 15% in both games, and he’s attempted no more than six field goals in either game. He’s come away with just one second-chance field goal in this series and is taking on a Timberwolves unit that ranks second in the NBA in field goal percentage allowed to centers.
Hartenstein has shot nearly 65% from the field over the last 10 games. However, he’s shot 60% or worse in his last two against Minnesota. In addition, Hartenstein has averaged 7.1 points per game against Minnesota in his last 15 games. He’s added at least eight points in just five of those previous 15 games.
On the other hand, the last time Mike Conley didn’t add at least three rebounds was back on May 8th. He’s recorded at least three rebounds in six consecutive games. He’s also had 18 rebound chances in this series, averaging about six per game. If he can come down with half of those rebound chances, he’ll likely get three rebounds in Game 4 against the Thunder. After all, the Thunder still rank 24th in the NBA in rebounds allowed to point guards.
Finally, Jaden McDaniels isn’t the most consistent three-point shooter. Yet, he’s nailed six three-pointers in his last two games combined. Beyond that, he’s attempted 12 three-pointers over the last two games and has shot 50% during that span. Ultimately, the Thunder rank 26th in three-pointers by power forwards.
They’re also 21st in three-point percentage by power forwards and 25th in three-pointers attempted by power forwards. There’s a reason why McDaniels has been more consistent from downtown in this series. Let’s take advantage.
