NBA Same Game Parlays & Picks: Thursday (1/15)

The NBA is headed to Berlin, Germany, for an afternoon game between the Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic. I won’t make a wager on that one, but I should note that tip-off time is scheduled for 2:00 pm ET. That said, I’ve added a couple of  NBA same-game parlays (SGPs) for two other games tonight. Check them out below.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Houston Rockets

Reed Sheppard has scored eight or fewer points in two consecutive games. He’s also missed this line in three of his last four games. Sheppard has averaged 24.4 minutes per game in the previous 10 games. His usage is slightly above 21%, but he’s taken fewer than 11 shots per game during that stretch. In addition, he’ll battle a Thunder team ranked second in the NBA in points allowed to point guards this season. The Thunder are also very good at limiting foul shot attempts by point guards.

Ajay Mitchell has secured at least four rebounds in just three of his last 10 games. Ultimately, he’s hit this line in two straight games, but he’ll battle a Rockets team ranked first in the NBA in total rebounds allowed to shooting guards. Mitchell has secured no more than two rebounds in his last four games against the Rockets.

Amen Thompson has added at least five assists in just five of his last 10 games. He finished with only two assists against the Bulls last time out. Thompson has averaged more than 10 potential assists per game in the previous 10 games. But his teammates aren’t finishing when he passes the ball. Against the Thunder, there should be more of that tonight.

New York Knicks vs. Golden State Warriors

Mikal Birdges has scored at least 18 points in two consecutive games. But he’s also hit this line in just three of his last 10 games and will face a Warriors team ranked first in points allowed to small forwards this season. Bridges has shot below 45% during that 10-game stretch and won’t have a great matchup against Golden State tonight.

Meanwhile, Steph Curry has tallied at least four rebounds in just three of his last 10 games. He’s had fewer than six rebound chances per game in the previous 10 games. The Knicks rank second in the NBA in total rebounds allowed to point guards this season.

Hopefully, it’s Mitchell Robinson cleaning up the glass for the Knicks. He’s added at least nine rebounds in five straight games. He’s averaging 13.3 rebound chances per game and has had at least 18 potential rebounds in three consecutive games. The Warriors rank 29th in the NBA in rebounds allowed to centers this season.
