Milwaukee Bucks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

Myles Turner scored just five points in his latest game against the Orlando Magic, despite playing more than 30 minutes. His usage was just 5.9%, as he watched Cam Thomas shoot the lights out of the ball in the third quarter. The Bucks will have games where Thomas takes over, and nothing else goes on offensively. Turner is going to be impacted, especially tonight, against a Thunder team ranked second in the NBA in field goal rate against centers.

Meanwhile, Chet Holmgren hasn’t scored more than 17 points in six consecutive games. He had 13 against Phoenix last night, with a usage rate of nearly 25%, but he took only eight shots in that game. In the last 10 games, he’s hit only 25.5% from downtown. He’ll take on a Bucks team ranked fourth in the NBA in points allowed to centers this season.

Kevin Porter Jr. has hauled in at least six rebounds in four of his last five games. He’s also averaged 8.8 rebound chances per game over the last month. That said, he’s added at least nine rebound chances in five consecutive games. Luckily, he’ll battle a Thunder team ranked 29th in total rebounds allowed to shooting guards this season. The opportunities will be there.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Naji Marshall has added at least 31 points in two of his last three games. His usage rate is starting to exceed 25%, and he’s averaging nearly 33 minutes per game over the last 10 games. Marshall has also shot 48.4% from the field, while taking more than 14 shots per game during that stretch. He’ll take on a Lakers team ranked dead last in points allowed to small forwards this season.

It’s why we’ll also add Caleb Martin to score at least seven points. Martin has added at least eight points in three of his last four games. He only played 11 minutes in his last game against the Suns, but his usage was down to 3.5%. It’s unlikely that will be the case, given how poorly the Lakers are defending small forwards this season. Just monitor the news as he is listed as questionable for tonight.

Let’s back Austin Reaves to grab at least five rebounds. He’s nailed this line in 56% of games this season and has earned 6.8 rebound chances per game over the last 10 games. Right now, the Mavericks rank dead last in rebounds allowed to shooting guards this season. Reaves should be able to take advantage of the glass and earn at least five rebounds.
