Saturday’s Top Underdog Fantasy NBA Pick ‘Em Picks

Moritz Wagner: 7.5 Points – Higher

Despite only playing 20 minutes a night, Mo Wagner has averaged 14 points per game against the Magic this season. He’s hit 40% from downtown and 55.6% from the field and typically does well against Cleveland.

It all adds up, too. Wagner is taking on a Cleveland defense that ranks 24th in points allowed. He’s also scored at least eight points in eight of his last 10 games and has added at least eight points in 86% of games against the Cavaliers since last season.

Wagner could play as low as 11 minutes, but look for him to be impactful when he’s on the floor.

Anthony Edwards: 25.5 Points – Lower

In three games against the Suns, Anthony Edwards has averaged 14.3 points per game. He’s also shot just 31% from the field and 27.3% from deep in nearly 33 minutes a night.

We got a look at how bad he’s been against the Suns in Sunday’s regular-season finale. He went just 3-for-7 from the field in 35 minutes and scored just 13 points thanks to seven foul shots.

That said, Edwards has only drained two of his last 13 three-point attempts, including an 0-for-2 night against the Suns. We’ll take his Under here.

Joel Embiid: 11.5 Rebounds – Lower

Joel Embiid isn’t 100%. That’s not ideal heading into this matchup against the Knicks, who rank No. 1 in the NBA in rebounds allowed to centers.

Embiid, even when healthy, didn’t add 12 or more rebounds at a consistent rate. This season, he earned 12 rebounds in only 44% of games. While he had a successful day on the glass against the Heat in the Play-In Tournament, the Knicks should be able to keep him in check. Embiid has only added 12 or more rebounds in 25% of games against the Knicks since last season.

Jamal Murray: 10.5 Rebounds + Assists – Lower

In the last five games, Jamal Murray hasn’t added 11 rebounds and assists. He’s also hit this line in just three of his last 10 game. He now faces an average Lakers team this year in terms of allowing assists and rebounds to point guards.

In April, Murray has averaged four rebounds and 4.8 assists, but is scoring 24 points per game. The points should still come against the Lakers, but the assists and rebounds likely won’t.

Anthony Davis: 23.5 Points – Lower

Anthony Davis has added 22 points per game against the Nuggets this year in three starts. That’s not enough to hit the Over for Davis’ point total of 23.5.

In the Play-In Tournament, Davis played excellently. He scored 20 points, hauled in 15 rebounds and played 40 minutes in the win. Still, he shot just 6-for-16 from the floor and didn’t get those 24 points that his prop is at now.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets finished the season ranked ninth in points allowed to centers. Davis has also scored at least 24 points in only 30% of his games against Denver since last season.
