  • Current Lines: Bears -5.5 o/u 37.5
  • Location: Soldier Field
  • Start Time: 1 p.m. EDT
  • TV: FOX
  • Last Meeting: September 20, 2020 —  Bears 17, Giants 13

The Bears were able to sneak away with a win last week against Seattle as they got a game-ending two-point conversion. Thanks to offensive struggles, the team is still on its way to another losing season. It’s hasn’t been officially announced, but they will likely move on from head coach Matt Nagy at the end of the season.

The Giants have not been able to get past the hump of mediocrity. There are so many questions for the team going into the off-season and what direction they want to go. This game is sort of a win-lose for Big Blue — a win they possibly lose their position in the 2022 draft order, but it helps with the draft pick they acquired last year in the trade with Bears during the 2021 draft.

Trends

  • The under is 14-5-1  in New York’s last 2o games on Sundays.
  • New York is 13-3  against the spread in its last 16 games on the road vs NFC teams.
  • The under is 16-7 in Chicago’s last 23 home games.
  • Chicago is 8-15 against the spread in its last 23 games at home.

Overview

The Bears have seen a carousel at the quarterback position as injuries have allowed Andy Dalton, Justin Fields, and Nick Foles all to garner starts. The Giants are now going through this as well as they’ve lost Daniel Jones for the year due to injury. The tandem of Mike Glennon and Jake Fromm under center has made this offense non-existent, and the defense that was playing well earlier this year seems to have run out of steam. With that, the Bears’ offensive line is one of the worst in the league, and the defensive front should apply some pressure. Add the Giants’ complete lack of offense, and although this is a very low total to bet on, you shouldn’t expect much scoring in this game, and the under is your best bet.

Pick: Under 37.5
