NFL Anytime TD Scorers Picks & Predictions: Week 5 (2026)
Last week’s Anytime Touchdown outlook started well when James Cook scored Buffalo's first touchdown. However, it went downhill from there, culminating in Rashee Rice’s injury. Let's get back on track with some of my favorite Week 5 ATD picks. As always, shop for the best price and adjust all wagers as you see fit.

Week 5 NFL Anytime Touchdown Bets
(All bets one unit, unless otherwise stated)
Bhayshul Tuten (RB – JAX) | -105 at TheScoreBet
I am going across the pond for my first Week 5 NFL Anytime Touchdown pick. I am picking Bhayshul Tuten of the Jacksonville Jaguars to score against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Tuten has at least 15 touches in all four games so far this year and has scored in two of four. That is high-end usage and production at running back. Yet the sportsbooks don’t seem to be giving Tuten the respect his workload justifies. Most other lead backs are priced significantly higher to score than Tuten is. I also think they’re giving the Philadelphia Eagles too much credit in this matchup.
The Eagles enter this game ranked 23rd in EPA (expected points added) against the run. They are also 29th in expected fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs. Only the New Orleans Saints have given up more rushing touchdowns this season. Philadelphia is also in the uncharacteristic position of being 7.5-point underdogs to the Jaguars. Jacksonville should be able to enjoy a favorable game script, which should also benefit Tuten.
Given all these factors, I think this is a solid price for an ATD bet on Bhayshul Tuten. I would be comfortable playing this to -120.
Omarion Hampton (RB – LAC) | +165 at FanDuel
Omarion Hampton is another running back whom I feel is being somewhat disrespected in terms of his opportunity and matchup relative to his ATD pricing. Hampton has already scored three rushing touchdowns this season. Only 12 running backs have more carries inside their opponents' five-yard line through four weeks. I believe Hampton can add to those numbers on Sunday against the Denver Broncos.
Denver has allowed three of four primary running backs to rush for scores against them. The only one who didn’t was Kyren Williams, who racked up 158 scrimmage yards. The Broncos have permitted the fourth-most rushing yards in the league and enter this matchup ranked 31st in EPA against the run.
Hampton's favorable pricing likely reflects the recent increased usage of both Keaton Mitchell and Kimani Vidal in the Chargers' backfield. However, neither Mitchell nor Vidal has logged a carry inside the five yard line this year. Offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel has also said the depth chart hasn't changed.
Hampton also has the highest yards-per-carry after contact among Chargers running backs. That should play well against a Denver defense that ranks dead last in the NFL in missed tackles and yards after contact allowed. Whether it is a goal-line carry or long breakaway run, Omarion Hampton should have the best chance to find the end zone in this matchup against Denver.
Trey McBride (TE -ARI) | +120 at DraftKings
Last week, I selected Carolina Panthers backup tight end Mitchell Evans as my longshot ATD bet. That bet did not hit, of course, but it certainly wasn't because the Detroit Lions performed well on defense. They allowed at least 30 points and 440 total yards for the third time in four games. I am going back to the well this week, albeit with a much more well-known commodity. I am taking Trey McBride of the Arizona Cardinals to score on Sunday.
McBride remains Jacoby Brissett's primary receiving threat. He enters this matchup with the third-most receptions and fourth-most targets in the NFL this season. Despite two straight scoreless outings, he has scored 12 touchdowns in 16 games started by Brissett dating back to last season. McBride now gets arguably the single-best matchup for opposing tight ends when he faces the Lions.
Detroit ranks 31st in the NFL in EPA on defense, including 29th against the pass. They are tied for the NFL lead with 11 passing touchdowns allowed. More than half of those have come via tight ends. McBride's four targets inside the opponents' five-yard line this season are the most in the league. This is a perfect storm for McBride to break his mini-drought in touchdowns.
Sam LaPorta (TE – DET) | +165 at BetMGM
Of course, the Lions aren’t the only team taking the field in Arizona on Sunday with a poor pass defense. The Cardinals rank 27th in total EPA defensively despite ranking second in the NFL against the run. Only Dallas and Miami have been worse against the pass than Arizona at the start of the season. That is bad news against a Detroit pass offense that ranks fourth in the league. Detroit has favorable matchups throughout their receiving corps, but I think tight end Sam LaPorta has the best combination of opportunity, matchup, and ATD pricing.
LaPorta goes under the radar, but he is a high-volume player when Detroit is in scoring territory. His seven targets inside the opponents' 10-yard line are tied with Trey McBride for the most in the NFL. No other player in the league has more than five. Arizona has allowed a touchdown to an opposing tight end in three straight games. Pro Football Focus ranks their linebacker group 29th in collective pass coverage, while their safeties rank 26th.
This game has major shootout potential. Detroit has the highest implied total on the board on Sunday, and quarterback Jared Goff's passing touchdown line is set at 2.5. There should be no shortage of fireworks, and I expect Sam LaPorta to get in on the action. I am betting on both him and Trey McBride to score in the desert on Sunday afternoon.
Longshot Anytime Touchdown Bet: Demond Claiborne (RB – MIN) | +1300 FanDuel | 0.16U*
I always try to ensure that I only need to hit two out of five ATD bets, including my weekly longshot, to remain profitable in a given week. So admittedly I pigeonholed myself a bit with my four main plays. None of the four have long odds, which left me very little wiggle room to find a longshot. That said, I do see legitimate value in Demond Claiborne to score, especially at this price point.
We just watched the New Orleans Saints give up five (yes, FIVE) rushing touchdowns on Monday night. They have now allowed nine scores on the ground, which leads the NFL. The Saints also rank last in the league in EPA against the run. Based on that, conventional wisdom suggests all ATD roads should lead to Minnesota Vikings lead running back Aaron Jones. And I will concede that Jones is probably more likely than Claiborne to score on Sunday. However, I do not believe he is 7.5 times (the difference in implied odds between -110 and +1300) more likely to find the end zone.
Unlike backs like Tuten and Hampton, Jones hasn't had many goal-line opportunities. Jordan Mason still leads all Vikings running backs in opportunities (touches plus targets) inside their opponents' 10-yard line this season. Mason hasn't played since Week 1. Jones only has one such carry in four weeks. So even though he has a great matchup, I would rather not risk the full 1.1 units on Jones to score.
Instead, I'll take a flier on Claiborne, who is highly athletic and has been called a poor man's De'Von Achane. Minnesota has slowly given the rookie more snaps each week, and that could continue as the 31-year-old Jones has had at least 22 touches in three consecutive games. Therefore, I am picking Demond Claiborne as my longshot Week 5 ATD play.
