Monday’s Best NFL Preseason Picks & Bets

    (Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

    Cincinnati Bengals (-3) vs. Washington Commanders (+3) | O/U 43.5 (-110/-110)

The Bengals offense looked unstoppable when their starters were in the game against the Philadelphia Eagles last week, which bodes well for their success on that side of the ball in the regular season. But once Joe Burrow and company called it a day after scoring touchdowns on their only two drives, the team was out-scored 27-13, which causes concern about the lack of depth on both offense and defense.

This line is also inflated because of the 48-18 shellacking the Commanders took in their Week 1 loss to the New England Patriots. But Washington head coach Dan Quinn will likely be motivated to get that bad taste out of his team’s mouth and generate some positive momentum heading into the season.

We figure to see Jayden Daniels for the first time this preseason, as he has +430 odds at FanDuel to throw a touchdown pass on his first offensive drive.

Even if Washington simply stays close to Cincinnati while the starters are in, I feel confident in its ability to overcome any deficits late, and cover this three-point spread. The line has dipped to -2.5 at some other competing sportsbooks, so we are getting the best number and price at FanDuel.

    Pick: Commanders +3 (-110)
