NFL Preseason Week 3 Picks & Predictions
Titans vs. Saints
The Tennessee Titans are eying a potential 3-0 sweep in the preseason. It'll bring momentum to a team on the cusp of the playoffs in pre-rankings. The Titans will likely play their starters for a few series to start the game. So far, Levis has gone 4-for-5 in preseason with 35 passing yards. It's been mainly Mason Rudolph and Malik Willis. Ultimately, Rudolph has outshined Wills this preseason and will be the backup quarterback for the Titans. On the other hand, the Saints finished last week's game against the 49ers and scored just three points in the second half. Jake Haener and Spencer Rattler both looked uncomfortable in that game at quarterback. If the Titans can get out to an early lead with Levis and the starters, they should be able to hold on and win against the spread of -3.5.
Pick: Titans -3.5 (-110)

Cardinals vs. Broncos
The Arizona Cardinals won't give Kyler Murray any time in preseason. It's one of the many reasons the Cardinals are 0-2 in preseason play. After all, Clayton Tune has won the backup job against Desmond Ridder and will start the final preseason game against the Broncos. Tune got the bulk of attempts against the Saints in Week 1 and added one touchdown on 15-for-24 against the Saints. He followed that game by going 8-for-10 but was sacked three times. Yet, his stats were still better than Ridder's. Meanwhile, Bo Nix was announced as Denver's starter. Therefore, we'll see more of Jarrett Stidham down the line, along with Zach Wilson. Stidham and Wilson have both had good and bad moments with Denver. A couple of good moments should be enough against Arizona. Take the Broncos at -3.5.
Pick: Broncos -3.5 (-110)

Patriots vs. Commanders
The Patriots have struggled to produce a ton of consistency, averaging 15.0 PPG in two preseason games. The good news is that head coach Jerod Mayo’s defense has allowed just 17 total points in two outings, cashing the Under both times. For the Washington Commanders, the offense is good for 11.5 PPG while allowing 16.5 PPG. Despite the lack of scoring, QB Jayden Daniels has been impressive, and he is the No. 1 starter for Week 1. With nothing more to prove, seeing him held out here wouldn’t be shocking. And, with Marcus Mariota nursing a groin injury, the Commanders could rely heavily upon Jeff Driskel and/or Trace McSorley. The Commanders could move the ball with a triumvirate of QBs against Miami, but they turned it over twice, and the red-zone efficiency was awful. With Washington potentially powering down on offense and New England having struggled to get a ton of consistency on offense while playing solid defensively, going low on the total in this preseason finale is the way to go.
Pick: Under 33.5 (-110)
