Eagles vs. Commanders (Game Pick)
The NFC East has been incredibly bad this season. In fact, this game might be just as bad. But unless there’s a tie, someone has to win.
The Eagles will roll with Tanner McKee at quarterback. He’s posted a 28.4 quarterback rating since taking over for Jalen Hurts, throwing for 426 yards but just two touchdowns. That said, it’ll only get harder without DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks. Saquon Barkley is good to go, but last week he had moments where it looked like he’d sit for the rest of the game. He’s probably not 100%.
Washington’s injury list isn’t clean. Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Terry McLaurin are on injured reserve (IR). That’s Washington’s leading receiver and running back out for tonight’s game.
Washington hasn’t won a game since September, and the Eagles are currently on a five-game losing streak. But if I know anything about primetime football, the wackiest results come in. Don’t be surprised if the Eagles stick around and beat Washington. After all, these two teams have allowed and scored about the same number of points this season.
If Philadelphia can run the ball effectively with Barkley, they should be able to escape. Additionally, Washington’s secondary is pretty poor, too.
Let’s take a chance on Eagles +6.5 (-112).
Pick: Eagles +6.5 (-112)
Darius Cooper Receptions (Player Prop)
Darius Cooper will be the Eagles’ main receiver in the passing game. He’s shown flashes for the Eagles when other receivers have been hurt. Cooper has had at least three targets in three of his last four games.
Ultimately, the Commanders rank 29th in receptions allowed to receivers this season and 28th in receiving yards. Someone has to step up, and that should be Cooper. You can bet on him to go over 2.5 receptions at +108. We’ll take it.
Pick: Darius Cooper Over 2.5 Receptions (+108)
