Detroit Lions vs. Philadelphia Eagles (Game Pick)
The Philadelphia Eagles have won three consecutive games entering this one. They’ve had a couple of offensive outbursts against the Vikings and Giants, but scored just 10 against the Green Bay Packers in their latest win.
The offense totaled less than 300 yards and actually failed multiple times on fourth down. In addition, Saquon Barkley rushed for just 2.7 yards per carry, and A.J. Brown earned only two receptions for 13 yards. The Eagles are an inconsistent offense, scoring 24.22 points per game.
Meanwhile, they’ll battle a Lions team that has scored more than 31 points per game this season. The Lions just added 44 points against the Commanders, but they’ve been trading wins with losses ever since beginning the season with a 4-1 start. The offense was a bit stagnant in the middle of the season, but head coach Dan Campbell took over the play-calling, and things started to click again.
After all, the Lions have a winning record on the road this season. They’ll need to protect Jared Goff better as a pass-block unit, but he’s ultimately surrounded by more weapons, which is crazy to say, given the Eagles have Barkley, Brown, and DeVonta Smith on the roster. The Detroit playmakers have been better overall this season.
That said, let’s back the Lions at +125 on the moneyline.
Pick: Lions Moneyline (+125)
Jahmyr Gibbs Over 22.5 Receiving Yards (Player Prop)
Jahmyr Gibbs has added at least 23 receiving yards in 56% of games this season. He’s also hit this line in two of his last three, including a 30-yard game against the Commanders the previous time out.
The Eagles have been bottom tier in receiving yards allowed to running backs this season. Meanwhile, Gibbs has had at least three targets in three consecutive games and has averaged 4.6 targets in each of his last ten games. Look for the Lions to get Gibbs more involved in the passing game against an Eagles secondary that had to be patched up at the deadline.
Plus, Gibbs has seen a slight uptick in his snap percentage since the start of the season and that will only help! The Lions need their best players down the stretch to ensure a top playoff spot.
Pick: Jahmyr Gibbs Over 22.5 Receiving Yards (-108)
